After several months of “24/7”, I’d suspected something might be going on some nights.

I couldn’t always remember waking to pee during the night.  Sometimes I was just wetter next morning than I could remember being responsible for.  Sometimes, I could remember “pee dreams”.  It was often the case that by morning, my bladder was unusually empty.

It was hard to tell though.  I was usually in a somewhat-wet nappy by the time I fell asleep so it was all circumstantial evidence.

One weekend, when my beloved was away, I decided, for the first time since I’d gone “24/7” the previous Christmas, to sleep without my nappy on.

The first night was just terrible sleep (almost no sleep really) and a ridiculous number of trips to the toilet.

The second night I went to bed exhausted.  At 2:54am I woke up cold and confused.  Why was everything around me all wet?

I can vividly recall the strange alloy of horror and excitement at what I had done to myself when I turned on the bedroom light to reveal my soaked pyjama pants and ruined bed: clear as a bell.

I know that feeling. The first true wet bed in a long time. Shock horror, exitment all rolled in to one.

    Hi All,

I'm also one of the silent guests - so far.

Right now I strongly desire incontinece and bedwetting. I'm used to that, let me share my thoughts.

My diaper love started when I was a child, I grabbed the diapers from my sisters or used a tissue. Once my mum found my wet diaper, it was no fun.

Then many years passed without any thought about diapers.

After giving birth to my first child, the diapwr desire came back. I talked to my husband and he allowed me to wear diapers, so he also tried himself. But I'm not interested in watching, I want to wet and mess my diaper on my own. I like the warm comfy feeling and the loss of control.

Since I have a stressfull job, it's my way to balnce and calm down.

After beeing divorced (not connected to diapers) I had a new partner, great sex and no desire at all. But it came back and hit me really unexpected. I told him and he also allowed me to wear them. I have fantasies like beeing changed and wetting them 24/7.

Now, all this is passed and for 4 years, I'm with my latest partner. He doesn't even know about my desire, but it is creeping back. Overwhelming me and my thougts, pushing me into wishes of bedwetting and wetting my pants to hear from him "you should wear a diaper"

While having sex, it really turns me on to imagine to be in a wet or messy diaper.

Right now I'm wearing a bif wet towel in my jeans, he is on a business trip for one week.

I don't dare to buy nappies, but I love betterdry diapers...

I wear big incontinence paddings while bleeding, of course due to the blood, but to be honest I wet them.

I'm really good conditoned, once in a diaper, I start using it without thinking. Only bed wetting isn't working.

I'd wish to be incontinent or even start with bed wetting, to wear diapers again.

I don't want to tell him I'm a DL. This would mean I have to ask to wear a nappy, I want to be dependent.

I also tried a catheter before, but it was a small one w/o block.

I also thought about wetting the bed on purpose, because it would not harm anybody else beside him.

What prevents me me from doing this? My grandma was incontinent and the smelled really bad. I don't want to smell like her :-(

So it's a big struggle and in the end I'm the looser, because my desire is after the expectations from society.

I admire all of you who gained self-incontinence!

My Grandmother was incontinent in the last few years of her life but back then incontinence products were not what they are today. Her house reeked of stale pre and she didn't smell to fresh her self. Nowadays there is no need to smell due to being incontinent.

I pretty sure John's younger sister wet her bed also but when I was in their room once I didn't see anything that looked like she did.

John's parents definitely didn't believe in using diapers, when we camping with them they both just peed their sleeping bags. In the morning their wet sleeping bags would be hanging on clothes line for use the next night.

In our area nappies were frowned upon by our district nurse. In her opinion nappies gave no incentive to become dry at night.

I wasn't a bed wetter growing up, even though I wanted to, but I did know several kids that were. My friend John and his brother were chronic wetters but never tried to hide it. They just peed their beds nearly every night and had no problem having kids play in their room and seeing their wet beds. My younger cousin no blood relation wet until he was eight. Some friends up the street had plastic sheets on their beds, so obviously bed wetters. Older kid a few houses down smelled like pee every day, obviously a bed wetter. Of all the bed wetters ! knew only one wore diapers my friends brother but he always had wet pants. All the rest just peed their beds.

When I was growing up nappies for bedwetting were discouraged by our local district nurse. Only my cousin got to stay in nappies at night but he lived away from us.

I think you knew more bedwetters than I did.

Interesting question, and the answer, for me, is that while I must assuredly must have been in the acquaintance of other kids who wet the bed, since it's far from an uncommon problem, I didn't know of them, because it wasn't talked about. I lived in mortal fear of anyone finding out that I wet the bed, or that I wore diapers at night (this was in the 1980's, so the the pre pull-up era.)

In contrast, I have a buddy with two sons, both of whom, until recently, wet the bed - the older one finally outgrew it, at 13 - and both of them wore pull-ups to bed, and for them, it was no big deal - no mortal fear, no real detectable embarrassment of any kind. The older kid's close friends knew about it, so he brought pull-ups to sleepovers as necessary, and didn't sweat it. The last time I was there, his younger son, who's 10, came down to say goodnight after brushing his teeth, in just a pull-up - as far as he was concerned, they were his pajamas.

My younger daughter still wears pull-ups on occasion, and she's more in the middle of the spectrum between where I was (crippling embarrassment), and where my buddy's kids are (totally nonchalant). She has a couple of good friends who knows she wears them, one of whom also wears pull-ups when away from home base, but she definitely would not walk around in just a pull-up if anyone else were over at the house.

It was common knowledge that I wet the bed growing up. Mothers mafia and my sister telling all her mates saw to that.

I'm happy right now with being trained not to hold so wettings just happen.  holding is possible but it needs to be a conscious decision to do so, except for bedwetting I still don't wet in my sleep, which frustrates me a lot.

Keep at it I'm sure the bedwetting will come.

I never set put to become incontinent but now I am, honestly zI couldn't be happier. Don't ask me why I just am. Wearing nappies just feels right, Being a nightly bedwetter just feel right. Having nappies stacked by my bed feels right.

Within a few weeks of becoming incontinent and dependant on nappies I decided that I wasn't fighting this and would stay in nappies for the rest of my life.

Never stopped wetting the bed. Hasn't been a frequent thing,  a few times a year usually. Growing up I was always told the same things, "Only babies wet the bed", "Do you want me to put you back in diapers?"(I was never brave enough to say yes)' "You'll grow out of it." My dad was the one who spoke up about it, my mom was the one who drug my mattress outside do dry/air it out. They never considered it could be a medical issue.

Back when I was growing up bedwetting was considered a dirty habit and certainly not a medical problem. Our Doctor certainly didn't see as a problem. The stock answer was always "Don't worry he will grow out of it"

My father was ex military and disgusted by my bedwetting. My mother was just frustrated by it and punished me harshly. Having my face rubbed in my wet sheet was a normal occurrence. I was just thought of as dirty and lazy.

I came home from school many times to find my mattress on the lawn.

It didn't help that my sister was completely put of nappies at two and never wet her bed while I was almost 22 before I was dry at night.

By my teens my folks had given up trying to get me dry at night and I made no effort. My bedwetting never bothered me.

My mother made one last ditch effort when I was about 15 as we had a new doctor as the old guy had finally retired. Our new young doctor referred me to the then fledgling NHS Continence service and I was issued with a "Sandra" fitted cover for my bed and big blue adult disposable nappies. My mother also bought me some "Sandra" plastic pants as the nappies usually leaked.

That was it nothing was ever said about my bedwetting after that. It was just accepted I wet the bed and probably always would. I was expected to deal with my wet nappies and any wet sheets.

I finally stopped wetting in my early 20s.

  9. What amazed me was just how quickly wearing nappies just became normal for me. In the very beginning When my wife suggested nappies. I was embarrassed and slightly ashamed and very self conscious. Then I soon realised no one noticed I was in nappies or if they did no one cared. Life was certainly easier. Less wet beds and no more worrying about having visibly wet pants during the day.

Soon I was putting my nappies on without even thinking about it. Now it is just normal and my way of life.

I've been 24\7 for years. I'm urinary incontinent but I've also started using my diapers for both. It seems silly not to use diapers for both when that is what they are designed to do. If I can get to a toilet then I do use toilet for number 2's as the clean up is quite a task. But I don't stress about being 24\7 after a while it feels like normal and you just get on with your day. The weirdest thing that happened to me was forgetting wearing a diaper , I know it sounds strange but if yo wear all of the time you do forget about bein in diapers as it is normal to you.

There have been times when I have forgotten how long I've been in a diaper and then panic as I might leak but leaking is rare for me as I manage my diapers very well.

    Hope this helps.

I totally agree I never think about my nappy until it becomes uncomfortable because I have left changing too long.

  10. So you are a bedwetter. How does this make you feel. Perhaps bedwetting was a goal you have achieved or perhaps you have always wet the bed. Maybe it has just started out of the blue.

Whatever the cause how does being a bedwetter make you feel?

I have been back to nightly bedwetting for over 10 years and it makes me feel happy relaxed and contented. My wife noticed that within a few months of my bedwetting coming back I was so much more relaxed. Being a bedwetter is right for me.

  11. A few years ago I went in a three week trip to the States with a good friend whom I've known since I was young. Being incontinent and dependant on nappies and sharing a room I decided to tell him right at the start. He just said "So what you used to piss your bed all the time when you were younger" He said he wouldn't have been surprised if I still wet the bed in any case.
