    Perhaps it is time for some of us "amateur" site developers to combine forces and focus on one site? I run crinklebutt.com (hosted by daily diapers for free) but I too have very little time to maintain it.

    Perhaps if we all put our limited time into running one site we'd be able to keep it going. I enjoyed abdlforums.com (not sure that is the same site). But alas, I'm guessing it will take one of us to push this concept if it is to get off the ground.

    Here is a post I just posted (on Crinklebutt.com) that sums things up pretty well....

    Ok, I've simply run out of time to work on this site, so unless someone wants to step in and offer some assistance, it will go the way of abdlforums.com (I probably won't shut it down, but I won't be approving new members etc).

    What I need is for someone to upgrade this board to version 3.0 and ideally link it to the coppermine board also.

    The problem is that the host (who ever Daily Diapers uses) has some sort of script blocker running, so the upgrade script never completes. It will require downloading the DB to one's own machine and running the upgrade there.

    Any got the skills/time/inclination?

    Once we get to PHPBB3.0 we'd be able to turn user registration back on again as the spammers haven't defeated their visual confirmation (yet).

    I'll send you a PM but an upgrade should be fairly easy.....

    I guess I do... mostly a lack of time. My (real) baby seems to be taking up most of my

    downtime. Couple that with an impending move -- sprinkle in a brand new [and larger] mortgage

    and suddenly $120 / month for a decent VPS plan is excessive to the budget of both

    time and money.....

    So the $120 gets retasked to a 529 fund and the time spent answering emails, filtering content, etc,

    turns into family time.

    I was just curious if any of you old timers are still in contact with melysa and brock, I was just curious if they are still posting pictures anywhere or if they are posting on any of the boards still. The last pictures I saw from them I think were on wifeups from like 2002. Anyways, any info would be much appreciated.

    It has been a couple of years... Melysa is her real name. Evidently Brock realized that

    the neighbors kids are @#$% good at google and decided to quit. He said as much

    on ILUVDiapers... Every blue moon he'll pop in and say "hi" over at ILUVDiapers....

    Someone posted a similar topic to this on the ABDL Story Forum, and someone over there said that Tommy had alzhimers. And he left people running it who weren't AB aware.

    Yep DPF was the first one I visited. You would think an even non-ab aware business person

    would try and run a good business....

    Anyhow over a decade(!) ago a buddy of mine did webhosting off a T1.

    He hosted all kinds of sites etc. I can remember he hosted a website

    called "TheABZ" which was gone before I thought about looking at it.

    I do recall my buddie's comment "diapers?? Why diapers?" to this day... :P

    Is it really true that there is a law against showing people in messy diapers,and if so,how come someone hasn't had a shitfit(no pun intended) due to the fact that that is a violation of freedom of speech?

    As stated before "obscene" speech is not protected by the 1st ammendment

    I think it's crap but if you google "girlspooping" and "scatinbrazil"

    (hey I read fark) both have resulted in charges being filed...

    I am using firefox (my favorite web browser) and I keep getting a message saying "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." with an Install Missing Plugins to the right. I have clickjed on that and it can not find what ever plugin that is needed for this site.

    Can you help me with this fix?

    You arent missing that much... Active-X is an IE technology. Mikey uses it to serve

    ads. No biggie...

    Yes, agree with you on that; that many crimes take courage. But that was not my point either. There is still a fundamental difference between commiting the act of rape, and pretending to be a retard. A fundamental difference indeed. Yes, both crimes take courage, and both are wrong, but it is really like comparing genocide with petty theft. All though I understand what you are saying, I felt the comparison was like the cannon fired at the sparrow. A comparison which were more closely linked in nature to what this man did, was perhaps in order me thinks. Cheers! :)

    No one claims that a diffrence doesnt exist. The comparision was in context

    reasonable.

    For example the legal deffinition of rape includes many non-violent actions.

    Certain student-teacher relationships or underage sexual acts can take place

    and are still refered to as rape.

    One of the striking similarities between this and a seoncd degree rape is

    the lack of informed consent. The comparision in this context is reasonable.

    Yeah, allthough a bit extreme, and probably not a whole lot of fun for those who became victims of his feigned retardation, you still cannot deny the fact that it took a lot of courage doing it.

    Many crimes take courage. Rape, robery, murder, shoplifiting all require

    some courage. Doesnt change the fact that all of them are wrong.

    The parallel that two acts can require courage and both be wrong is

    a fair one.
