For starters I've said quit clearly that an open mind does not mean bowing to others opinion it does however mean counterninsing the possiblity that the other side could have a point and taking that point and togather forming a stronger opinion based on compromise and the sharing of ideas. Also I would give anyone a chance to explain their problem with something like gay marriage but if they come back with some bs like "gay marriage is against god" or "its un American" then I stop carring completely and no I actually know people who are against gay marriage and while we've debated on the issue many times and I think she is wrong in her position I would not call her closed minded or ignorant why because she made a fair case against it and presented it in a politie mannor and she listen to my points for it without saying she was automatically right. also I don't believe it was any libral who brought in terms like marxism and communism into this forum. also though I hate to raise this spector think back to the start of nazi controled germany all the shops forbbidding jewish costomers where did that lead, see while your right you could and should just shop at another store that dosen't discriminate against you the issue is it sets preccident which means if one store forbides blacks who to stop 20 other stores from following suit its better to have the gov. safety net than let the free markets try to work themselfs out because they can't they won't its silly to think they could because the people who run the free market got so high up the corpert ladder by being cold, calculating, and in most cases underhanded if not criminal so its a good bet without any restrainsts the demons of those men in women would fly free and corrupt the market as much as the robber barons did and if you think that time was something worthy of repeat your either an elitest or a very poor judge of history. also the idea of well if we just don't go they're they'll stop discriminating to get us back is flawed on the basic sense of well they never wanted you they're to begin with and they'd be happy to see you and anyone else they don't like leave trust me when I say unless we're talking some small town bussiness no company would lose enough costomers by banning a minority that it would phase them at all

Thanks I think so too and thats why the few exceptions on here that I have blocked get to me, A debate is supposed to be the sharing of opposing viewpoints and facts to find some common understanding and if possible to attepmt to sway one side to yours but for people like redneck and Botox they seem to think any opposing views are not only wrong but a personal attack on their beliefs to which they respond in accordance but thats not debate, it should never become attacks on one side or the other but instead a sharring of ideas and info which will never happen if someone starts using hateful and incorrect facts to back up they're view rather like a child being told they can't have ice cream who then proceeds to kick and screem about how they desrve the ice cream and yet never spares a thought to why they shouldn't have ice cream. Ok I've gone back and read most of the postes here that I had blocked and I've only got to shake my head at the trash I read here what are we a bunch of backwater mouth breathing hicks, I know I'm not and I'd hope the people on this forum aren't either and yet we all are either posting nonsese or responing to nonsense. I will say a few things though to everyone against thing like healthcare lets forget the political side of things and instead ask are you really so apathitic that you wouldn't want to give up just a bit of your money to help thoose less fortunate and if your about to say well I already give to charity, 1 charity can only reach so many people in the community but the government to take that reach farther and 2 what about the people who don't want to give to charity its only fair they give to the worse off too though right so though taxes the govt. can make charity far for everyone. as I've said I'm torn on the gun issue but the fact of the matters is yes people will always find a way too kill each other but is it not worth it to at least make it harder to kill someone instead we seem to be making it easier; A handgun in your home for safety is onething but really why need any stronger form of defense I mean ideally even an intruder you just want to incapasitate not kill so why need a rifle or automatic weapon a handgun works just fine, also the argument of leaving a means to rebel against the "tryanical" government is best answered by this quote from Thomas Jefferson " In defense of our persons and properties under actual violation, we took up arms. When that violence shall be removed, when hostilities shall cease on the part of the aggressors, hostilities shall cease on our part also." I could go on all day and refute allot of statements but instead I'll simpy say this I hope others on here will simply ignore the ignorant, arrogent, racist, post made by people like Redneck BoTox and Kitten I know I intend to because as its been said before while another opinion is not only ok in a debate it is vital another opinion that has neither facts nor even an open mind to other's opinion is vile and the end of any sort of meaningful debate

Your right to a point but the problem with Fox news is that they are the wrost of it, at least amoung the main stream news channels, see your right every news story has some bias to it but Fox takes it another step into actually attacks on other views which is why I personally can't stand fox news

I have mixed opinions on this issue on one hand I've lost two people in my family to the barrel of a gun but I also know that guns have there purpose. I will say that attacking the NRA is wrong they are actually, at least from my experinces, very strict with there member's usage of firearms and actually do a great deal to help enforce gun control regulations. my mom still has my dad's old glock 22 however its only been used shooting ranges which I hope and pray never changes. I think we need to find a happy medium because no personal defense is just as bad as handing a mad man an AK47 so I'm in favor of stricter gun control laws however I also support the second amendment

yeah thats a good book but to summerise the theology as best I can, well it is based on christanity or really judisam to be sepcific because the first masons were stone masons in ancient egypt and they were hebrew slaves if my memory serves me correctly but they worship the the all knowing or all seeing eye, the eye above the prymid on the the back of the dollar, and they believe in a being that crafted the world which you could equate to the christen idea of god the father. basically think christen only not the barest ideas of christanity but from there very differnt beyond that you'd have to do your own research
