The thing is, you are not shoving the can of pop up your butt!  That is the big difference!  When you drink that can of pop, it is broken down in your stomach and diluted with other enzymes and slowly absorbed.  When you shove it right up in your intestines, it absorbed into your bloodstream fast without breaking down and that is what is dangerous.

On September 19, 1983, at Dunkeler's Home, in Sparta, KY. An alcoholic recovering from throat surgery asks his wife to give him an enema consisting of sherry. The alcohol bypasses his digestive tract and is absorbed directly into his bloodstream unfiltered by the liver, causing alcohol poisoning and he later dies.

Ethanol is a tiny molecule that easily diffuses through membranes, else you wouldn’t be able to get drunk from drinking it, since the body considers it a poison and hence doesn’t have any special mechanisms for absorbing it.  Glucose is significantly larger, and does not cross membranes without a transporter protein involved.  They’re not even remotely comparable.  The large intestine doesn’t just absorb anything inserted in it, it’s designed to primarily absorb water, but small, polar molecules (like alcohols) can slip through membranes with no ability for the body to prevent it.

There’s been a number of studies done on using rectal glucose as a treatment for hypoglycemic diabetics who are impaired too much to eat and are difficult to start an IV line on, and they consistently show that rectal glucose absorption is minimal, nearly zero.  The stuff they use for that is basically highly concentrated liquid sugar that can spread and cover a large surface area, so if that’s not absorbing, you’re not gonna absorb a lick of sugar out of a solid marshmallow.  It’s just not a realistic fear.  I make no statements about anything else, but marshmallows are not going to affect your blood glucose.

Let's also remember that this is an international forum and that medical approaches and techniques vary from place to place- they are not universal and as best I can tell nobody can prove that one way is right and the others are are wrong.

    Bettypooh

I concur with the rest, but we’re not discussing techniques here, and the ones we did are objectively false. Homeopathy is objectively useless and all stated benefits are false, other than the placebo effect. Crystal energy healing is objectively useless, and all stated benefits are false, other than the placebo effect.

Human anatomy and physiology does not change depending on your location.

Nowhere in the world is a tension pneumothorax defined in a way that would allow a “ruptured bladder to leak urine and fill the abdominal cavity until the diaphragm can’t contract anymore” (which though theoretically possible, is not a realistic possibility in any way, for a number of reasons) to qualify.

Nowhere in the world can you lose conscious bowel control by putting diaper rash cream in your asscrack and ‘fooling your brain’, and the concept is so wrong as to surpass laughable and become alarming.  Anti-vaxxers have a more solid base in actual medicine than that, and that’s saying something.

I find the concept of the moderators defending people spreading false information from people correcting them to be disturbing.  Sure, it’s been mostly harmless so far, but when it eventually is not?  I will not sit idly by and watch harmful information be spread.  If I and others would be disallowed from correctly pointing out harmful information and using the history of sketchy at best, completely false at worst, statements to lend weight to the point, then you should really just ban me and every other medical provider on this board right now, and we’ll just take our time to another board that respects reality and respects its members enough to protect them.

BabyKeiff, I believe you are well intentioned but misinformed. I have treated folks with pneumothorax, and it's really not as you seem to understand. In the type of pneumothorax that will kill you fast (tension pneumothorax), air gets in the chest cavity via a wound and gets trapped between the inner chest wall and the lung itself, thus preventing full lung inflation. Each breath makes it worse, and you die unless treated quickly. If fluid got in the chest and prevented breathing that would normally be blood, known as haemothorax, not urine. If you die from internal bleeding it usually is from the hypovolemic shock, not suffocation.

I won't comment the medical science (or lack of - actually) in your posts further beyond also stating that if you mix up ureters and urethra it's a bad start when trying to instruct people about bladder (dys)function.

BTW people who chronically can't drain their bladders and keep high intravesical pressures (such as some paraplegics with neurogenic bladder) will end up with many issues, thus the importance of regular self-cathing, stents, or other procedure. It's not a good idea to mess with your body too much.

You’re wasting your time.  I’ve corrected his elaborate, vaguely medical sounding writeups before times, and they still keep coming.  IIRC, he’s said he has a medical background, but I’ve always wondered exactly what that entails, because I have strong doubts.

He knows just enough to sound good to laypeople by spouting a bunch of anatomical terms like renal calyx, but to anyone who actually has a medical education or works in medicine, it reads like someone writing about crystal energy healing or homeopathy. The oft-repeated insistence that being in a warm wet diaper with diaper cream on your butt makes it so your brain “can’t tell” that you’re not messy and causes it to just freely release your bowels with no conscious control is my favorite claim.

  4. First of all, an attack on feminist doctrine and propaganda is not sexism, as much as you might like it to be.  Being against modern feminism is not the same thing as being anti-woman.  I’d actually argue it’s pro-woman, because modern feminism does a much better job of infantilizing and demoralizing women than any other social construct in the modern world save Islam.  If I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d suspect modern feminism was an elaborate false flag attempt to set the sexes at each other’s throats.  I don’t think it’s quite that deep, but I do think it’s being pushed and propagated by influential people for less than wholesome reasons.

With that out of the way, I’d like to apologize for my tone in the previous post, I had just bailed out of another argument on the same topic on a different website and was rather hot under the collar, and then seeing the exact same topic here set me off.  Getting told you’re probably a rapist covering for your rapist friends, all because you had the gall to ask for a link to a single piece of evidence for a sexual assault accusation, that has been stated numerous times to exist, is... frustrating, to say the least.

I still stand by my statements, though.  By no means was I saying all women have it easy.  Privilege doesn’t mean your individual life is easy, it just means that on average, your class/group has benefits that others lack, like preferential treatment in the justice system being a huge one.  It’s called the “women are wonderful” effect, and I’d wager it’s the original cause of about 90% of the intersex conflict, with the remaining % being the upper-upper class encouraging anything that keeps the lower and middle classes divided and arguing amongst themselves.

For all intents and purposes, everyone has a hard and shitty life in their own way, both men and women have unique struggles and plights that the other sex cannot and will not ever truly understand. I don’t know what it’s like to be catcalled and followed in a dangerous situation, or to be stalked and attacked by someone I don’t have a hope of resisting without a weapon.

In the same vein, you don’t know what it’s like to be raised to suppress your emotions all your life until you shatter, can find no support because “men are supposed to be strong”, and wind up attempting suicide, to be constantly implied to be a future rapist just because I have an outie instead of an innie, or to be expected to fight and die for people who don’t give a shit about me if a draft were to occur, to the point of not being able to vote if I don’t agree to it.  Not trying to compare those  specific miseries, they were just the ones that leapt to mind.

In the end I’m really just sick of the attempted monopoly on victim status.  Western women are not the be-all-end-all victims in the world, but you rarely hear anyone talking about how terrible middle-eastern women actually do have it, especially not the mainstream media.  They just want us to fight over stupid shit like air-conditioning settings and “manspreading”.

P.S.  if he’s being paid more than you for exactly the same work and hours, with no other differentiating factors like previous training, experience, seniority, or anything like that, then that’s illegal and you have every capability to do something about it.

P.P.S.  If I’m not allowed to make statements about what life as a women is like, don’t you dare deign to tell me or any other male what life as a man is like or that “cis-males” have it easy.  The hypocrisy is so thick as to be palpable.

  5. 11 minutes ago, KinsyInRibbons said:

Males have a lot more benefits then being able to stand and pee. You don't have to worry about being assaulted walking down the street at night, or at work, or at the movies, or nearly all the places. You don't get paid less for the same job. You don't get blamed when bad things happen to you.

It is more than just body image. That is powerful, and a defining commonality among most western women, but that is just the tip of the iceberg that is life with a vagina.

Males are somewhere along the lines of twice as likely to be the victim of violent crimes.

You get paid exactly the same as a male when you work the same job for the same amount of hours.  Differences in overall earnings between genders are due to personal career choices and women choosing to work less hours.  Part time nurses make less money than full time mechanical engineers, as they damn well should.

If you want to talk about victim blaming, the single worst victim of victim blaming is the male rape victim.  “Good job man, she’s hot” “You got hard, you must have wanted it” “You’re stronger than her, you could have stopped her if you wanted to”

White western women are the single most priviliged combination of race and gender in the history of human civilization.  Take your victimization propaganda back to tumblr.

  6. It all depends on the type of sweetner and the person drinking the soda. I looked at Mountian Dew the other day and one 12 oz can had 72 grams of sugar! Now, lots of diet soda's have Aspartame as the artificial sweetner and that is not good for people. On the other hand, some diet soda's like Pepsi One and Diet Rite use Splenda for their sweetners, which is made from real sugar but approved for diabetics. Not saying soda is good or bad for people, I'm just saying that there are some artificial sweetners that are bad and some that are OK.

    http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/early/2013/04/30/dc12-2221.abstract

Splenda was approved with flawed studies. They only tested what happens when people eat solely Splenda which isn't really realistic unless you just eat the bags of it. A more recent study, which the company that makes Splenda responded to by dodging the question and quoting the same old flawed studies, shows evidence that Splenda and normal sugar ingested together is worse, in terms of blood sugar, insulin production, and decreased insulin usage by cells, than sugar alone.

Basically, for those who don't know what that means, Splenda shows signs, nothing conclusive yet, but it's there, of being able to actually cause T2 diabetes, if eaten with something containing sugar, which is pretty much everything. More studies will be done, but those results are concerning.

Given the choice between aspartame and sucralose, I'd choose sucralose, but I'd rather not choose at all.

  7. Best tip you're going to get:

    Don't.

Going to work as a pool lifeguard padded is possibly in the top 5 ways I've ever heard to get yourself found out 100%. What happens if you have to get in the pool and then figure out a way to get out with a 5 lb pool water soaked diaper on without anyone noticing, which they will instantly. Deciding to work as a lifeguard padded is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard, to the extent it raises doubts about the veracity of this story and question.

And then you even admit that in school you'll have plenty of chances to hit the bathroom, so why on earth would you risk the damage to your social life that would happen if you were found out?

Trust me when I say this, and I mean no offense, but at 18, you're an idiot. Not just you specifically, but every human who's made it to adulthood. The hormones and changes occurring to your brain screw you up. You make stupid decisions that can affect the rest of your life without even a second thought. You don't even have the capability of comprehending your idiocy until you're out of puberty and in your early 20s, mostly freed from the hormonal fog that was affecting your brain. I look back at myself back when I was 18-19 and I'm mortified by some of the things I did, and that's something common to most people.

Do not do it. Figure out another way. You will be caught. Don't risk the repercussions of being found out to get your jollies. Teens can be resourceful and intelligent in their idiocy, make use of that to figure something out. What would you do if you weren't abdl?

  8. I'm a paramedic, so all you need now is a doctor and you've got almost the whole ER.

If you want advice about a medical problem, likely all you'll get from actual medical personnel is going to be advice to go see your doctor. Too many legal and ethical issues with giving medical advice to someone you've never even looked at. Some will give it, but in my experience, most won't.

If you have a general question about medicine, that isn't for advice about a problem, that shouldn't be too hard to find someone who knows.

  9. WTF! Did you just really compare gays to pedos/molesters? As someone who is gay and a victim of one of those sickos that you feel for, I REALLY take offence to that comparison. You might want to rethink that comparison or please clarify in a better way what you meant by that very bold statement.

    DISCLAIMER: PEDOPHILES =/ CHILD MOLESTER

I AM NOT DEFENDING CHILD MOLESTERS

He's right, and it's really not that difficult of a concept if you actually think about it rationally for a couple minutes instead of reacting with a kneejerk "BURN THE PEDO" witch hunt.

Straight people didn't wake up when puberty hit and tell themselves "I think I'll be straight. I'm going to be attracted to the opposite gender of my own. Gays didn't suddenly decide "Hey, fuck those people who aren't the same gender as me, I'm only going to be attracted to my own gender." Your brain is wired slightly differently from a straight person's brain. It's set in stone and you had no influence over whether it's curves and vaginas, muscles and penises, both, or something else entirely, that turns you on.

Pedophiles are exactly the same as straights, gays, bisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals, and whatever else you can think of. They didn't decide to be attracted to children. They didn't want to be permanently burdened with a desire that they can never fulfill without ruining another human's life. No pedophile decided "Hey, I want to go destroy some innocent child's life in the process of getting my rocks off." It's a mistake in the wiring of the brain that they have no control over. They got fucked, and I feel for the innocent ones who succeed in fighting it their entire lives with all my heart.

The ones who go through with it are a more difficult topic, though they deserve immense punishment regardless. The person who interacted with you was a monster and deserves no sympathy, but he/she was a child molester first, and a pedophile second, if at all.

For the purpose of a thought exercise, imagine you live in an alternate world where being gay is illegal and punishable by exile and/or imprisonment at best, or execution at worst, due to gay sexual acts permanently damaging the propositioned partner in some way.

You are aware of this damage and have resolved to fight your intense desires your entire life, while forcing yourself to live a heterosexual life. At some point, it starts weighing on you more and more, and you go to a therapist for help resisting, because you're a good person, and the thought of hurting someone just kills you inside. This therapist reports you to the authorities instead of helping you, and you find yourself being harassed and potentially imprisoned or murdered.

Do you feel this is fair treatment? You never hurt anyone and never would. You just wanted to go about a normal life and be a good person while being burdened by this fucked up hand you got dealt at birth.

Pedophiles have difficulty getting help for their 'condition', if you will. I don't want to indirectly imply homosexuality is a disease, but it's a simple and easy word for me to explain my point with, and I can't think of another one at the moment. Psychiatrists and therapists are legally required to report it any time they feel a person might be in danger, and considering how pedophiles are the modern witch to burn at the stake, most pedophiles can't get any professional help without risking exposure and effectively the end of their lives. There have been a couple articles or interviews I've seen on the Internet in the past couple years, where pedophiles talk about what it's like and how hard it is having your primary sexual desire being something so evil and vile.

As a fetish group often associated with child molesters and pedophiles, it's in our best interests to both minimize our association with them, and change the way the system works so that the innocent people who happened to get a bad roll of the dice can get the help they need. We should be more empathetic with the innocents, considering how life ruining our secret can be upon discovery. If being a pedophile who's never harmed a child is seen as a condition that requires management and treatment instead of an automatic death sentence (hyperbole), maybe it would result in ABDLs being more publicly accepted. If people aren't terrified to even mention pedos, more people could possibly come to understand we have no attraction to the child.

Maybe in the future people will be able to go to the doctor and tell them they're a pedophile, and be prescribed medication that suppresses your sexual desire, or a method of discovering and rewriting sexual preferences through brain scans will be discovered, and pedophiles can be treated before a problem happens, instead of waiting until it does and having children be harmed because of it.

An ounce of preventing damage is worth a ton of punishment after it's too late. Killing the molester doesn't fix the child, but preventing the molestation prevents the child from ever being damaged.

Ok, done ranting. This is a topic that I took an interest in a while back after my ABDLism came to maturity and I realized it wasn't normal. I initially thought I was a pedo (quite a stressful concept, let me tell you), and was looking into it when I realized I didn't fit the description and discovered ABDL existed. Seeing some pedo related research and what some of the people afflicted with it had to say about pedophila kind of cemented the interest in me. I suppose you could say that I felt since ABDLs and pedos are often lumped together, it was in my best interest to maximize my knowledge.

  10. Actually, I deleted my story because you hijacked the thread to post a long rant insulting me and expressing your outrage that I would dare to stop writing. It's funny in light of that to see you talk about tantrums-- you don't have much self-awareness, do you? That seems to be your stock-in-trade: you've never written a story here, but you've made tons of posts criticizing writers and hectoring them over various things.

As for WBDaddy: yes, he left me a bunch of positive comments. I left a bunch of positive comments on his story, too. Since I know he's a good writer who spends a lot of time on his stories, I don't subject them to nitpicky criticisms.

Really? Because I VERY clearly remember you specifically saying you were done writing because of a single post by WBDaddy, resulting in the entire thread turning into an argument, and you deleting it when you realized everyone thought you were overreacting and not a single person was on your side. You even took the time to quote and point out his post in detail (went something like "No, there isn't going to be any more. I'm done writing because of posts like this: (insert WBDaddy)"), removing any doubt which post it was that set you off, and you did it quite rudely in response to someone innocent who just asked if there was going to be more to the story.

I was by no means the only one who got pissed at your attitude, and your snotty comment about the 1 mistake he pointed out, after he massaged your ego for 15 posts straight, was the straw that broke the camel's back and resulted in one of the best writers we ever had leaving the story forum. Reminds me of those horror stories about spoiled kids who get tons of gifts, but throw a tantrum when one isn't exactly what they wanted.

And I would absolutely love for you to provide me with a post where I criticize a writer on their writing. I've done it maybe 3 times in the years I've been on this site. If I don't like a story, I don't read it. The only times I post in this forum at all are when a truly exceptional story shows up, or when someone needs a reality check. I don't care if someone stops writing, but when they choose to do it for a stupid reason and decide to get super dramatic about it, I'm going to call you out on it if no one else has, and I even strive to match their tone. I actually made a writer regain his confidence and continue writing a story he'd given up on a while back, but you had already made it abundantly clear you were done and so I just responded to you equally as rudely as you responded to the commenter.

Remember it how you like, but it was by no means just you and me, so careful with how much you twist the truth, lest someone else who remembers it as well sees it.

And for someone who doesn't care anymore, and deleted their story, you spend a lot of time on here defending it.

Anyways, this isn't the time or the place for the flame war this will degenerate into, considering that you don't like me, I don't like you, and DD doesn't like fights, so for the sake of everyone else, let's drop it and move on with life.

    P.S.

The fact that WBDaddy is a good writer and spends a ton of time on his work is exactly why he specifically wants 'nitpicky criticisms'. It's called self improvement, and his desire for improvement and ability to handle criticisms to achieve it, shows that he actually cares about his stories. He wants them to be as good as they can possibly be, and is willing to take a little negative feedback to achieve that goal.

  11. WBDaddy actually left because of the complete inability of writers on this forum to take constructive criticism, not because of idiots who poke fun (which I have a sneaking suspicion you're referring receiving said criticism here, the exact opposite reason he left). It got to the point where people were ganging up on him and flaming him for daring to imply their stories weren't absolutely perfect, because he cared enough to try and help. The New Babysitter, for example: he made ~10 posts with nothing but praise and requests for more, then pointed out a slight error in the story so it could be fixed, and the writer instantly quit writing and threw a tantrum because of 'haters'.

I have absolutely zero interest in chat rooms, and have been in the DD one a single time, was gangflamed for literally no reason other than I disagreed with one of them on some minor issue, and never went back. Anything related to chat rooms is outside my knowledge.

  12. I totally disagree with you Betty Pooh that Under 18 breast-feeding would be considered 'sexual' cause as I said before that Breast feeding is a natural thing, it's meant to be a special bonding time between mother and child and I also add that it's one of those times when they are on their own Just mother and child together with no one else around, also it Gives the mother a chance to release any milk that she has in her breasts, I am not being defensive or nothing but why don't you just look it up along with watching any breastfeeding videos and you will find that breast feeding isn't considered to be sexual

Your agreement or disagreement is irrelevant.

A mod just set the rules straight. Rules are not debatable.

  13. it's just a theory. You can't be taking this seriously I hope

balloon could possibly damage the muscles is what I was driving at, but why on earth would you actually try that lol? I was merely stating I had thought of the idea before. Who knows if it would work or what complications could come of it...

Your body is tougher than that. If you inflate it too tight, but not enough that it pops, you could wind up with necrotic tissue in your urethra from the pressure, though. Think pressure sore, but inside of you. The pain from that would be absolutely immense, I imagine, and you would have to endure the inflated balloon for quite some time without it popping in or moving. Good luck, and I advise IMMENSELY against even thinking about trying anything with a catheter. Just do it the normal way, there is no quick and fast route that doesn't have a huge potential for sepsis and death.

  14. BabyAltair, you're kind of stupid. I'm not checking this thread anymore, and I'm blocking you because you are a major asshole. Please go troll someone ELSE'S harmless experience.

I care so much about your opinion I can hardly contain myself. Maybe I'll cry myself to sleep tonight about how the guy with 10 posts thinks I'm a stupid ass. Please, put me on ignore, so I can even more easily return to not being aware of your existence.

I love how you jumped on me and not the people who actually got pissed off at the OP. I'm also immensely amused by how you've never posted in this thread, yet now you're leaving it in a huff? Tell me more, please. When someone gets pissed off at me for telling someone to act like a considerate human being, I know I'm doing the right thing.

Put it this way, the original post sounded like something our old resident troll WnM24/7 would do. The clarification fixed that. WnM and all of his 56 accounts were banned. If you approve of the kind of shit that asswipe did, or claimed to do, you won't be around long anyways.

I have plenty of things to call me an ass about, but the one area I conform 100% to the majority opinion is probably not the smartest one to choose and make a spectacle of yourself over. Have a nice day :)

  15. I don't have a problem with it as long as you aren't subjecting others to it. I was more interested in shutting down that opinion that we have no choice but to accept everyone, which is obviously not true. After this last post, I don't have any issue with your actions. I've been known to go in public too, just not around people, or if I am, I bail ASAP.

  16. The whole point of logic and reason is that it IS the same for all as far as functioning goes. Otherwise there is no basis for an exchange of ideas or even of thinking process outside one's own whims or momentary feelings. That has been the standard of civilized society and of being able to have any expectation that the person you meet will not murder you in 5 minutes from now for 2300 years. We take that for granted. the difference comes form the premises we start the process with but that process is what enables us to develop beyond being self-absorbed. the similarity is and its recognition is how we know that we have contacted another sane mind as opposed to a raving lunatic

Now. you say you hold me in high regard. you are depending on me to be in some way rational and not snarl at you. That is an implicit sense of logic and we take it for granted

I do not put any group or "identity" above another. I treat persons as individuals. To do otherwise is to concede the premises of the haters because they base their whole mode of life on "us" and "them". Is that not what we ran away from in 1776? Groups do not exist, only individuals do. Group is a relationship among individuals. Didn't someone once say something about being judged by content of one's character? That was fromj the Enlightenment which was the follow-on to the Age of Reason/ The primacy of the group over the individual negates the need for, or even the concept of, self-responsibility, self-respect or even of having a self and renders each to the status of a bee or an ant

But we digress. The point is someone put something on their site that really made no real difference or should have made no difference since the proper thing is to treat persons as individuals and take each as themselves, not as part of any group, all of which have good and bad members, and then got "yes" for an answer and did not like it

Anything with any gray area in the definition or usage is subjective.

What does friendly mean? I'm friendly to people I just met, and I'm also friendly with my best friend, however, I treat them vastly different.

Getting overly friendly with someone can mean being clingy, or performing sexual advances.

Logic is objective, reason is objective, but that doesn't matter in the slightest, because human beings are not logical and reasonable. You can say we are all you want, but when it comes down to it, unless you're a sociopath, emotion influences you and every decision you make, and emotion is completely subjective.

On grouping, it's impossible to not unconsciously group things, especially when we're talking numbers and anonymous individuals like they were. Our brains function by grouping things, and it's completely unreasonable on an immense scale to expect a business to cater to every possible customer as an individual.
