  1. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but my folks and I are planning a 10-day trip to London in the next few months. If your flat is still available then, would you be interested in a DL roommate for 10 days (just me; my folks would be staying at a hotel in SE1)? I'd pay whatever you feel is fair for the room.
  2. While I wouldn't say I prefer black girls in diapers, I have to say I really like the contrast of a white diaper on dark skin. It's too bad such photos seem so rare.
  3. Welcome to DailyDiapers, Black_Star_Zero!
  4. Most likely they were Luvs Deluxe Prints for Girls. Have a look at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29096135@N05/2717722719/ If that's what you're looking for and you want a real one let me know. I think I have a few, and I'd be happy to send you a sample.
  5. What is an Attends 7? Is that the shaped pad, as opposed to a diaper with tapes (which I believe start at level 8)?
  6. Wear a real diaper with tapes, and if Abena is what ya got, that's the one to wear. I'm very happy for you (and a little envious). Have fun!
  7. Okay, here's my first "official" munch proposal: North Carolina Triad Area AB/DL Brunch Munch (ain't that a mouthful!) Saturday, May 9 @ 11am Mary's of Course Cafe 301 Brookstown Ave Winston-Salem, NC 27101 http://www.marysofcourse.com/ Mary's is highly-regarded and serves breakfast all day! I think 11am gives any Charlotte/Triangle folks time to drive to Winston. This is the Saturday before Mother's Day; does that cause any conflicts for those who wish to attend? If I don't hear any suggested changes and get an "I'm there" or two, I'll post this officially in the Announcements section.
  8. Any still available? PM or email ultrapampers (at) gmail (dot) com. Thank you!
  9. What'd you find out, riflemanjon? I had the feeling they were made in Europe, but don't know really. Acecool, who'd you get to model 'em for ya?
  10. I live in Raleigh and would love to organize/attend a munch or something. Feed free to email me: ultrapampers (at) gmail (dot) com **sheepishly admits** I've never been to a 'canes game. Hey! Maybe that's what we should do: organize an ABDL night trip to a hockey game. Whaddaya think?
  11. After my morning shower I opened my underwear drawer and, wouldn't you know it, I was completely out of clean underwear! Shame on me for not doing laundry last night. So I pondered for a minute... Should I go commando? ...Should I wear yesterday's underwear? ......Or should I just wear a diaper to work instead? I choose #3, and here I sit in an amazingly thin and comfortable Depend diaper (the now-defunct "regular absorbency" version). Although I know nobody will hear it, see it, or notice at all, I'm still just a tad nervous about it. But I'm not at all regretting my choice! Have any of you who don't wear 24/7 found yourself out of underwear, and decided to wear a diaper instead?
  12. I'll not label you a dickhead, but I think you're inconsiderate. This is not so much about what my parents or friends think of me, because you're right, if I'm dead what do I care. But I don't want my loved ones to have to go through boxes of diapers and figure out what to do with them, because I imagine that could be a gut-wrenching experience for them. Actually, most of them I can and do wear, and I can get to them to replenish my home stock in twenty minutes. It's not like they're in a sealed vault. I bought lots because I feared most manufacturers were switching to cloth-like covers, and that fear is proving justified. As for the baby diapers, you're right I can't wear them, but I nonetheless enjoy collecting them. Maybe someday I'll open a vintage diaper museum!
  13. My pleasure! And thank you, glenndl, for your reply and the excellent suggestions therein. A will is probably a really good place to start. Perhaps, also, a sealed envelope containing instructions and the key, with a simple note outside, "In the even of my death, please mail this letter to..." As for friends in the AB/DL community, I've made a few over the years, but they've come and gone (or maybe I did!). I had a good DL friend whom I'd hung out with in person who I would've trusted with the responsibility without a second thought, but, tragically, he was killed in a car accident a few years ago. Which just circles right back to the topic; I've always wondered who had to go through his stuff. And yes, it would help for the trustee to be at least regional, if not local. The upcoming munches and meets that are being organized will almost certainly catalyze new friendships, and perhaps a trustee/beneficiary will emerge from that.
  14. In my case they're in a locked storage bin to which only I have a key. If I had a trustee, they'd be named on the authorized access list or be given a key. But I understand that won't work for people who keep their stash entirely in their homes. Whoever came to my house to go through my belongings is still going to find a dozen diapers, which might raise eyebrows, but I don't think it'd would have the same effect as finding cases of them. Yeah, me too. I didn't intend to start a morbid thread!
  15. I'm generally a positive, upbeat person and I try to spend most of my time living, not thinking about death. Sooner or later, though, the same fate awaits us all. I'm boarding a plane in two days and, despite my faith in modern aviation, that got me thinking about my mortality. A little bit of planning for the inevitable couldn't hurt, right? I have lots of diapers. LOTS. A ridiculous amount, honestly. If I died or was otherwise incapacitated, I'd hate for my parents or friends who don't know about my diaper interests to have to sort through them and decide what to do with 'em all. On top of the grief they'd already be feeling, I wouldn't want to put them through the shock of discovering that secret. If they were left to deal with it, they'd likely decide to donate them all, or--heaven forbid--throw them away in an act of disapproval. I wouldn't mind the run-of-the-mill diapers being donated, of course, but some of my vintage baby diapers are quite rare and worth hundreds of dollars to collectors. Most people outside our circles would never know that, so next thing you know a church daycare would be using a box of Quilted Pampers on babies! The best solution I can think of is to appoint a trustee or beneficiary from the AB/DL community, who would inherit my diaper collection upon my death. They would be responsible for removing them from storage, and distributing them per my wishes. Such a person would be much better suited to know what's valuable and what's not, and could appreciate much of what I collected (because to anybody else, they're all just diapers). Of course, payment for this person's services would simply be first dibs on it all! I'm just curious if anyone here has had the same quandary. Who would deal with your diapers if you weren't able? Would it be your parents? Your spouse? A friend? Or have you found somebody you trust in the community to be your trustee?
  16. Are DLs invited? It's a six hour drive, but if it's gonna be a good party, I might drive up.
  17. Welcome to DailyDiapers, butters11! We're happy to have you here. Stop by frequently, and don't be afraid to join in any topic that piques your interest.

    New Here

Welcome to DailyDiapers! We're glad to have you here, Gatorbabygirl.
  19. Just put your names in the First & Last name fields, respectively, and leave the Company field blank.
  20. Thanks for replying, guys. I was thinking at first that holding it in or near Raleigh would make sense (going on the assumption that population density would equal more AB/DLs attending), but since the only two respondents are from western NC, maybe we should hold it in Winston-Salem? That's a much shorter drive for Darkfinn, and I know there's at least one member in Boone we might could get to join in. Anybody else in Charlotte? Anybody in Asheville? Artemis, where's a good place in Winston to meet up (besides Foothills--I know too many people there!)? Also, is Saturday, May 2 good for everybody? If so, I'll go ahead and post it on the announcements board.
  21. I'm surprised at some of your responses. I'm as strongly against child abuse and pedophilia as anybody can be, but to take the position that the simple possession of images of children is a crime is absurd! We might as well lock 99% of the population up, because just about everybody I know has pictures of their kids, and relative's kids, and events at which kids were present (neighborhood picnic, baseball game), etc. Why do we jump to the conclusion that if you have pictures of kids, you're a pedophile? How did we get to be such an irrational, guilty-until-proven-innocent society? It's downright scary. Who is the victim when you have bytes of data on your hard drive that assemble together to form an image of child? If the child was photographed in normal life (playing on a swing set, or jumping on a trampoline) by parents or other caring people, and were not exploited in order to take the photograph, who has been hurt? I collect vintage diapers, and in some cases I have the advertisements that go along with the introduction of that particular brand. Many of those ads feature babies wearing diapers. The children were certainly not harmed or abused in the taking or publishing of those photographs. The ads didn't inspire people who saw them to go out and abuse children. What is the harm in having those? If it can be proven that a person has abused children or has a sexual attraction to them then, by all means, lock 'em up and throw away the key for all I care. But to prosecute somebody just because they are in possession of normal photographs of children is ludicrous.
  22. Have a great trip and keep in touch when you can!
  23. Ask her to break out the family photo album and show you a picture. I'll be shocked if she's right, because I can't think of any brand that was using any prints on the covers, and none were using taping panel designs either. That all started in the late '80s and early '90s. The diapers I know of with pinstripes and sailboats at the top are these, and they're from 1992: http://www.diaperads.net/ads/luvs/l92c-S.jpg Yes, I know entirely too much about the history of disposable diapers!
  24. I need to start a diaper escrow service for ABDLs in restrictive living situations. You buy the diapers by the case, I'll keep 'em for you and mail you a couple a week.
