This is mostly just to vent after seeing court papers, etc. from my neighbor.
To back up a little, Rick is mildly retarded.
He can live alone, but needs help with reading.
He has ethics. And is a good guy.
Without sounding disrespectful, he reminds me of Forrest Gump.
It's been years since my divorce, but I really got caught up into his delima.
This woman is claiming no contact orders and other unnecessary nonsense.
She has no police, hospital, or witnesses to back up her claims.
That's what sets me off.
I don't like to see the underdog get kicked around.
I'm sorry guys (and gals) but the legal system gets clogged with this crap.
And then a person with a legitimate complaint has to wait.
A competent judge should hold a person of this sort in contempt.
I finally said to my neighbor that I had to "detach" and not talk about it anymore.

"Did you ever get the feeling that the world was a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?"

Kari,

I'm sorry that you are surrounded by all this negativity. If possible, this would be a good time to take a little vacation. I agree with you that this situation wastes the court's time and our tax dollars, but there's nothing I know of that we can do about it. I too have been throught divorce, but never this kind of abuse. I'm sorry for your neighbor and that you have learned from yours and are ready to move on.

Aloha,
Honu
