DiaperNewb Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I've been sort of a DL as long as I can remember. When I was 4, I tried to put on my baby sister's diapers, and got caught by my parents (they thought it was funny). I don't understand it, it's just "one of those things." When I was 15, I realized I was TG, and that struggle (nearly resulting in suicide) was my main focus. I am married and have 3 small children whom I adore. I had surgery a month ago to repair a couple of hernias and to reverse my Colostomy I got in '08 because my intestine ruptured (Diverticulitis). Since then, I have become fecally incontinent. That is, I can usually make it to the bathroom about half the time, but sometimes it goes without any warning. Or if I'm not within 30 seconds of a toilet, I'm out of luck. My wife knows about my affection for diapers, she once bought a sample Depend to wear for play (not used). She's having a hard time trying to figure out if my incontinence is real or just because of the DL thing. I can honestly say that my accidents are the real thing. She's doing okay with it though. I was wearing the Adjustable Depends yesterday (because it's easier to change at work than a brief), and had to remove it to use the toilet. I was having a hard time getting it back on, so she had me lay down on the bed and diapered me. So I think we'll be okay. My incontinence could be temporary, or could be lifelong. At this point, I'm just accepting it as the next part of my life. Besides, changing a diaper isn't much worse than changing an ostomy bag, and it isn't as painful.
Jabez Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Hiya and welcome to DailyDi! I'm sorry to hear about the incontinence. I'm sure it becomes a hassle from time to time. There are boards for incontinence, DL and transgender here... so I think you came to the right place! Anyways, I hope you enjoy it here and I hope to see you around the boards!
