SunOfSheep
The Mega Max USA: First impressions where good, I like how the logo is down the middle of these, and is also the wetness indicator, I also try to support USA made manufacturing when ever possible. All photos are size small. On the Left is the new USA version, Its plastic backed like the original, The logo down the middle will fade when wet, something i find quite nice actually. On top is the USA version of these, Mega max is one of my primary diapers, Ive worn then for around 4 years now and these do not seem to have the same cut, they seem larger on me, the tapes when on are further in then the old ones, and it seems less of a secure and snug fit. The cut is very similar to Tkyables puppers, folded they are all most exactly the same The thickness and ability to hold liquid seem very similar, however ALL the plastic is much thinner, Including the shell and landing zones. I did not take photos of the insides, but the leg guards, and inner core look identical, It still has tall leak guards, and the blue core. Edit: heres a random photo apparently i did take My Review: I wore these, along with the mega max light (very very similar just 30-40% as much pulp and sap inside. Unfortunately the outer shell on these failed me repeatedly, here is a photo of the mega max Light that poped when i sat down, this plastic is so thin that i would be afraid to ware these anymore, Here is a photo form where just Air was able to rupture the plastic sitting down. Other reviews seem to mention this also, the landing zone plastic is also so thin that getting the tapes off is very hard without ripping the diaper. Just removing some of them form the packing put small holes in the outer shell, this is a big difference form the older non-USA Mega Max, In my years of wearing those to work, walking miles, and being a active person they all most never had any problems like this. They also dont fit as well for me, these just fell like a cheaper looser diaper, honestly a lot like the tranquility ATN. @NorthShoreAdam - You guys are better then this.... what happened.... disclaimer: I did not pay full retail price for these diapers, however North Shore was not aware of before and did not have any say in this review. 1 Link to comment
ValentinesStuff
OK, I recently bought some of these in size Medium. Having gone through a pack of 10, I have had no problems. No tears, no blowouts, no leaks. I did notice one thing though, they are about 5 grams lighter than one of my old Pink or Tie-dye imports. The US madw onws are only white. Not all of these have done this for me, the light versons of these seem to have more of an issue with it then the normal ones. Ive been using these at night, and they hold up fine, but in the day the outershell gets a hole somewere more often then not (my photo is the worst one yet) Just wondering your usage of them? one of the reasons i loved the orginal mega max was there durabilty and relyabilty I all most never have problems with mega max. I work a fairly active job in industual/commercial engineering, that involves a lot of moving around climbing, not things i think most people who wear these do. 1 Link to comment
ValentinesStuff
I wear 24/7 but have a fairly inactive life. I do soak them quite heavily and have had the contain messy accidents. If you are getting holes in the same location, check the inside of your pants, to make sure there isn't a seam or something rubbing at that spot. I've had that happen before. 1 Link to comment
