Ishigreensa
"Of course, you are right," Mark nodded. "I was actually thinking a specialist for urology though. I mean, there is probably other problems going on with her too, but the most important for me, at least the most urgent, is making sure she doesn't have something life threatening going on. Then we can work on anything else that might be causing this." He patted his baby's back. "Of course, I know that physical conditions with the urology functions of her body are not the only possible causes. I just want to rule out the more serious stuff first." He was using words like urology so that his baby didn't get scared. He figured that she probably didn't really know that word or exactly what it meant. He wanted to make her as at east as possible,so the more big words they could use to talk about what should be done, the better. At least for the moment. He hoped she would just see them using adult words and tune their conversation out. Link to comment
Little Giammy
"To be honest, I suggest talking to a pediatrician before," Mary advised her friend. "Sometimes, regular doctors can be a bit too intimidating for children. A pediatrician, with more experience in dealing with kids, can guide you on how to make the examination as least traumatic as possible." She spoke in a hushed tone, mindful not to be overheard by the little girl who was engrossed in examining the furniture in the shop. "Daddy, can I go check that out?" Lucy asked, pointing towards a large shelf adorned with antiques that had captured her curiosity, particularly an antique gramophone. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
"Honey, that stuff is really special, so I don't think I'm the right person to ask. How about you ask Mary, and if she says yes, don't touch anything unless you ask Ms. Mary first. Okay? That stuff is hers, sweetheart, and it's only right we ask people that stuff belongs to, before we touch their things." Mark lifted his baby up. "Well, I guess you might be right. But it means taking longer to get the more urgent matter looked into," Mark frowned. "I really would like to know that she is not suffering needlessly, first." He sighed. "You don't think they have specialized Pediatric Urologists, do you ?" Link to comment
Little Giammy
"Miss Mary could I see those things more closely? Please I promise not to touch anything" the little girl asked to Mary "of course little one, if only to watch there are no problems" she said to the little girl before her daddy put her on the ground so that Lucy could approach to the shelf and admire the objects "I don't know if there is this possibility here but a pediatrician could tell you this". Ishigreensa
Mark sighed. He supposed he didn't have much of a choice. He just hoped she didn't panic when he took her to see the doctor. He got up and looked with her, so he could remind her if she needed it, to not touch unless she asked, but he didn't say anything unless he saw her reaching a hand towards an object. "Well, I probably should take her home and see if she has any homework we can work on to at least keep her caught up with her class as much as we can," he told Mary. "Thank you so much, and I will talk to your sister, but yeah, if you are alright with it, I'd like your sister to watch her here, that way, Lucy can at least see she is with someone kind of familiar tomorrow." Little Giammy
The young girl was fascinated by the array of objects on display. Among them was an old clock adorned with brass that she had admired for some time. However, there was one particular item that had caught her eye, but she couldn't quite figure out what it was. She pointed to a bicycle rim without spokes and asked Mary, " aunty Mary What is that?" Mary looked at the rim and replied, "That is an old toy that belonged to my grandfather." The little girl was eager to see how it worked and Mary obliged, taking the rim and a stick. "It would be better to play with this outside," she said. "The game involves rolling the rim and pushing it with the stick." Mary attempted to make the rim travel the space between two walls, but it fell after just four steps. "Maybe my grandfather was better at this," she said, a little embarrassed. "Would you like to try?" she asked the little girl. The girl turned to her father and asked, "Can I try, Daddy?" Ishigreensa
"Well, she said it has to be done outside, sweetheart, and I don't really think it a good idea to do it here, outside, nor in the room. Maybe one day, she will bring it to the park with us or something." Mark put a hand on her shoulder and looked around at the other things. They were all very old things, and he was sure, some of them had to be worth thousands by now. "Did you finish your ice cream, sweetie? Maybe we should get you home so we can give you a bath." He hugged her. Link to comment
Little Giammy
"Okay!" the little girl said with a lack of enthusiasm in her tone. "Oh, another important thing," Mary said to Mark. "Could you ask Lucy's teachers to keep you informed about the homework assigned over the next two weeks? Lucy could work on it with Rose and not fall behind in her studies." "Do you like studying, Lucy?" the woman asked the little girl, smiling kindly. "Yes, but I don't like school," Lucy answered sadly. "I understand," Mary said, caressing the little girl's head. "With what's happening in that school, I would be surprised otherwise," Mary said to Mark. "aw tomorrow we will do the ice-cream are you happy?" Mary asked to Lucy putting her in a good mood again. Ishigreensa
"Well, the principal made it clear that she was not going to get any credit for the work even if she turned it in. He said she had to learn not to cause trouble." Mark sighed. "Anyway, I want her to just maybe take a break and relax a bit. With everything that is happening, I think she just needs a bit less stress right now." Mark lifted his baby girl up to get ready to take her home. "Well, I want to get her a bath and then a real lunch. I don't think she's had lunch yet." Link to comment
Little Giammy
"Of course, I understand," Mary said to her friend. "But what if the teachers move forward with the program? Although it's improbable that they could make significant progress in just a week," she mused aloud. "Okay, goodbye," Mary bid farewell to Mark and the little girl. The child let herself be picked up, waving goodbye with her tiny hand, while her father lifted her and carried her out of the shop. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
While Mary made sense, he didn't want to stress his little girl. Maybe he could pick up what she missed the next day on the way home, and just keep it put away until he thought his baby would feel okay working on it. He buckled his little one in the car, and then he smiled at her. "After I get you a bath, I'm going to get you some lunch. Would you like weiners, hamburgers, or chicken for lunch?" he asked her. Normally, when he said chicken, he meant the microwaveable chicken pieces that McDonalds might call nuggets. As they drove, he noticed that the clouds were rolling in. It could rain this evening. In another month, they might even expect some snow. Link to comment
Little Giammy
With a smile, Mary guided Mark and Lucy to the door. Lucy happily walked hand in hand with her daddy towards the car, where she patiently allowed herself to be buckled up with the security belts. "I'm craving a hot dog," she declared after thinking about it for a while. She couldn't make up her mind because she liked all three options. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
"Then we'll get you come hotdogs, pork-n-beans, macaroni and cheese, and some milk or juice for lunch. How is that?" Mark soon arrived at their house, and he went around and opened her door and helped her out of the car. Picking his small child up, he brought her to the door, unlocked it, and brought her into the house and set her on her feet. Then he walked her by the hand back to the bathroom. He wanted to clean her up first so she'd feel better about herself and overall be cleaner. He stopped her in the bathroom, and got down by the tub to start the bath water. Looking back to her, he smiled, and advised... "Sweetheart? Take off your shirt and pants so we can get in the bath, okay? Once you've had a bath, we'll make you lunch. Besides, it'll give your ice cream a chance to digest some so you have more room for a better lunch." Link to comment
Little Giammy
Lucy eagerly agreed when her father told her what he planned to make for lunch. Even though she had already eaten ice cream, she still felt a bit hungry. The young girl followed her father into the bathroom. As her father filled the bathtub with warm water and added a bath bomb, she began to undress. Once she finished, she allowed her father to place her in the bathtub and wash her. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
Mark smiled when she came over, and he picked her up gently and put her into the tub. "Baby? You know daddy is not going to take you back by now, don't you?" he asked. "I'm asking because I need you to start telling daddy stuff, and I didn't want to press you because I didn't want you to get scared. You already wet your pants four times that I know of, you were in a couple of fights at school, and I saw your bed wet this morning from wetting the bed. I'm still not taking you back. You are my little girl now, okay?" He started to wash her back. Link to comment
Little Giammy
"Yes, it's true. I had two more encounters with Antony. The first was because he wanted my snack, and I didn't want to give it to him. The second was because he was bothering a younger child, and I intervened to put a stop to it," the little girl admitted to her dad, looking down. "I'm not sure if I did the right thing, but I can't stand children like him who bully others," she explained to her daddy. When he mentioned that he wouldn't bring her to the institute again, she felt reassured. "Thank you, Daddy," she said, hugging him from the bath tub. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
"Honey, I am proud of having a child that shows compassion for others, and defends those that can't. And you certainly couldn't do that if you just give in and give him your snack or anything else he demands as though he is entitled. "Now, we do need to maybe address making sure you are not using violence when you don't need to. You know? Fight enough to get away, and then go tell a teacher. That goes for helping someone else. Only fight if that person is being beatened up, but if you can get away from the tormentor, with your innocent victim, then get them to run with you and find a teacher." Mark smiled when she said thank you. "Now, I think it's about time to go to the district office with what you are telling me, but do you know if anyone will support us, and tell on this boy if they know we are trying to get people involved that are bosses and have influence over his parent at your school?" Little Giammy
"I don't know," Lucy said, looking down. "As I mentioned, I don't know anyone with the courage to confront him, and the teachers don't scold him anymore when he bullies," she added, on the verge of tears. "I wish I didn't have to go back to that school," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks. Lucy was truly exhausted by this situation and couldn't bear it any longer. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
"Well, we will see what we can do about your school, baby." Mark frowned. "But for now, you have a few days off of school." Mark continued to wash her until she was clean, and then he picked her up out of the tub, and carried her to her room to start getting her into some clean clothes. "What do you want to wear?" he asked her. Link to comment
Little Giammy
The little girl offered a shy smile as her dad mentioned that he would do something. She allowed herself to be gently washed, and when he finished, she accepted his help to step out of the bath tub. Her father then carefully dried her off, lifted her up, and carried her to her bedroom. There, he opened her wardrobe and asked her to choose her clothes. She opted for a pink skirt and dungarees paired with a red shirt, she made her selection. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
"That's so cute," Mark smiled as he let her grab the clothes, and then took her to her bed to put her on it. He went to the dresser and grabbed her panties and an undershirt before he came back and gently pried her choice from her hands. "Let's get your undies on first, and then we'll put these on, okay?" He helped her off the bed so she could step into her panties. He held her undershirt up and asked her to put her arms up. He sort was treating her like she was a bit younger than she was as he dressed her, but he didn't realize it. He just wanted to help his little one get dressed and help her feel better after a long hard day. "Let's go get you some lunch now," he said as he straightened her skirt. Link to comment
Little Giammy
Lucy allowed her daddy to dress her up as if she were a much younger girl. She willingly accepted his help in putting on her panties and the rest of her clothes. She enjoyed being treated like a little girl, as it made her feel like her daddy's princess. Once her daddy finished dressing her, she allowed him to pick her up and carry her to the kitchen, where she was gently seated on her large chair. Link to comment
Ishigreensa
Mark thought about the fact that teachers didn't scold him anymore, meaning they had in the past, and how scared the other kids were. Surely if he brought this up, there should at least be an investigation into it. He sat her at the table and started to get her some Chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and carrots made. Ishigreensa
Mark put some crayons and a coloring sheet on the table for her to work on so he would have time to look into getting her some lunch. He started to make some chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and cooked carrots for her. it took a little time, but at least she'd have a good lunch. While he was cooking, he glanced at her from time to time to make sure she was okay. She had had a hard day, and he was not going to let this rest no matter how much power that principal thought she had. Teachers were no longer correcting his bullying? This has the principal's hands all over it, and there was no way Mark was going to stand for his. He tried to think in his head, how he would do the courtesy of letting the principal know that he was aware of what she was allowing, and that he was definitely going to bring it up to the school board. Sometimes, I just took one, and then someone else would come forward. But often, that one to start things off, never came because people were scared. Mark wasn't. He was already vetted, and he was sure his social worker that helped him get his sweet little Lucy would more than back him up on this. Link to comment
Little Giammy
Lucy took the paper and crayon, ready to unleash her creativity. As her dad busied himself with preparing lunch, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. Drawing was her escape, a way to express her imagination. With each stroke of the crayon, she poured her heart into creating a beautiful unicorn. She envisioned it galloping across hills, its chocolate-brown color reflecting her love for desserts. Determined to finish before lunch, she poured all her focus into making it perfect, hoping her dad would proudly display it on the fridge or in his office, just like her previous masterpieces.
