COPD and accidents

Does anyone else here have COPD? Have you noticed an increase in your wetting and messing accidents as that are being triggered by your coughing spells? I have noticed over the past 2 years that I frequently have wetting and messing accidents that are triggered by my coughing spells. I was diagnosed with COPD last January but noticed the increase in my accidents about 2 years ago when my coughing spells became very frequent.

I don't have COPD but any time I cough, sneeze, lift or move suddenly I will wet myself without warning. I think it's classic stress incontinence. Having just had the dreaded Christmas cold virus (which everyone in the UK seems to have right now), wearing 24/7 has been a god-send as I've had no wet trousers like I usually do when I'm constantly coughing or sneezing! The last time I had a cold or flu was pre-pandemic so this is my first illness in nappies. Another reason I love to wear them!
