Firefly 35
Remember to do your research for every canditate, not just the big positions like senators, governor, etc. Part of the reason why our country's justice system is whacked out is because no one pays attention when voting for judges or other less high profile officials. There is a lot at stake (think about if you were convicted for something you didn't do or your abusive *insert title here* would never be convicted because *insert baloney reason here*), please keep that in mind when voting this election. 4 Link to comment
Demon-hunter
But no matter what part of the political spectrum you are in from conservative and republican to liberal and democrat, I bet we can all agree that House of Congress and Senate NEEDS to have limited Terms, it's stupid that the President can only have 8 max years but Congress and Senate could have unlimited, that's why nothing gets done. And we get screwed over 5 Link to comment

And we get screwed over I remember hearing about a poll being done where they asked if incumbents should be voted out of Congress. The overwhelming response was yes, like 75-80% said vote the incumbents out. Later questions were about voting for the local incumbent. Following party lines, mostly, the same people said they would re-elect their incumbent. Link to comment
Firefly 35
There should be a federal ruling that bans political parties altogether. Now that would be interesting to see how the media handles that one. Liberal media: "In a stunning move, US district court xx has banned all candidates for political office from affiliating with any political party. With Roe v. Wade having been overturned only x(x) months before, can we really trust our justice system anymore? Join the editors of <news outlet> for a demonstration at <location> and <website> to show those "justice" officials we will not back down!" Conservative media: "In a stunning move, US district court xx has banned all candidates for political office from affiliating with any political party. With the current administration having already stolen our president, it's clear someone needs to take charge of said administration for once and all. Join the editors of <other news outlet> for a demonstration at <other location> and <other website> to show those "justice" officials we will not back down!" Once the inital shock wears off, people would finally not have so many issues going on all the time. Link to comment

(Right to assemble) Peaceful assembly is a constitutional right, as is innocent until proven guilty. However, one would be hard pressed to find a US political party that does not advovate (either explicitly or implicitly) for harming others in some way or for upholding innocent until proven guilty, just look at the state of today's internet for proof. With certain exceptions (like self defense, covered under "right to life"), the Constitution does not allow for groups that cause harm. If effectively all political parties have caused harm, why should any be allowed? Sorry if that alarmed anyone. Link to comment

In Illinois they passed a law that gives them an automatic yearly pay raise unless they vote the raise down. Guess how often that happens. Link to comment
