Arturia SQ80V

For years Arturia has been a leading name in the world of virtual and hardware instruments and devices. All of  their virtual instruments can be played live or "standalone" without ha host as well as plugin to a DAWAnd these are the classics: From the Wurlitzer electric piano to the DX7 that actually reads hardware DX7 files AND the operators of which can generate other than sine waveforms. This includes the Solina IV, Fender-Rodes, Hammond, Vox and Farfisa organs, and the Fairlight and a New Synclavier designed by one of the original builders for Arturia, as well as their own Pigments. And all of their classics have a few surprises if you get under the hood. You can find YouTube vids on  the various "V Collections"

Up until recently, there were no Ensoniq instruments. Well that has changed. Now you can get the SQ-80. While this is dubbed a classic 80's synthesizer, it came out in '88 and is more, as I put it in a discussion at Ric's Music, in Swansea MA in C1997, the "MiniMoog of the '90's"

As usual with Arturia this is not your father's SQ-80. Instead of the 75 listed weave forms and over 150 hidden ones, it carries some 400 and you can go throught  them live! There are other features and upgrades like 16 voices instead of the usual 8. The only thing it doew not have is the 4th audio oscillatore unearthed by Rainer Buchty (pity). There are several YT vides on it
