It was a Friday, when the family got the call that they would finally go pick up the foster kids that Jason has researched over six months previously, and show his parents.  The truth is, he had been looking into fostering a brother for much longer than that, but in the end, he couldn't find a brother he was happy with, but the older girl kept haunting him as every time he went to look, he kept seeing her, and he came to really like her.

He knew some of her interests, and it seemed that she enjoyed playing soccer just like he did, and she liked animals.  He saw that she had a younger sibling, and hoping it was a brother, checked, but her sister was even more adorable than even she was, so he wasn't really thrown off that much about it.  It took him two weeks to finally realize that he was not going to find a better match, and so she had shown this profile to his parents.

Finally, after driving for three hours on a Saturday morning to the big city, their parents talking with officials for two more hours, and finally, they were in the car about to start the three hour ride home, that Jason was elated with happiness and excitement as he sat in the middle seat with Michelle on one side of him and little Samantha on the other side.  He held his baby sister in his lap so she could be between her new sisters, too.

Just as dad started the car up, mom looked back at the new kids and smiling, she told them what was expected of them while in the car.  "If either of you needs to stop for a break, please tell us.  Don't just suffer in silence until you pee your pants, okay?"

Jason thought that was a strange thing to tell them, but mom knew a lot more about their previous homes and experiences than he did.  He had no idea of the trauma that caused his foster sisters to become girls in the state's care until that point....
