babykeiff
Attends were made by Procter & Gamble, the same company that make Pampers until they sold Attends to PaperPak - now Domtar in 1999. The reason for and the terms of the sale, according to the European Commission and the US Trade Commission, was to remove the ability of a single company to control a market. This effectively banned P&G from producing any adult incontinent product. However, P&G, since 1984, owned Always which include Always Discrete / Envive incontinence pads, liners and pants. P&G state that they currently do not make adult sized diapers! In 1996, P&G introduced pull-up / easy-up training pants for babies/toddlers. This was expanded in 2005 to cover its complete range of baby diaper sizes (2-6), which P&G identified them - absorbant pants - as 'an easy to change diaper for wriggly babies'. Since P&G have stated that an absorbant pant IS A diaper, therefore, Always Discrete, being adult sized, is an adult sized diaper P&G state that they currently do not make adult sized diapers! ...which means that P&G ARE manufacturing adult sized diapers (pull-on pant) in breach of European Commission and the US Trade Commission ruling of 1999.
