ABU Simple, has it changed?

First off I'm not an AB or someone who enjoys #1 or #2 in my diaper. I really just like wearing a dry comfy diaper. I've been a big fan of the ABU Simple for the past couple of years. I've enjoyed their diaper, its thick, comfy and a good cut. Plus they are white, don't care for babyish designs on my diapers.

Lately I bought a case of ABU Simple, wear them for about 4 hours and noticed the 'absorbent core' breaks apart and lumps up. I happen to have a couple of older Simple from a previous order and found the core held together for much longer, even sleeping in one overnight 

Anyone else noticed this with the Simple, other similar diapers in the line or maybe its just me over thinking...

On the positive note, I've bought some ABU BareBum diapers and although they are a little thinner, the cut is fantastic and the core really holds together well. I'll live with the babyish design on the front.
