”Dan looked confused “sorry bud I didn’t mean anything by it I’ve called you that a few times now I think it just comes out it’s not an insult or anything I promise”

the waitress returned with their drinks and the crayons for Ethan

Ethan calmed down after that. He was sure Dan wouldn't say it again. He did accept the crayons and start drawing a picture. Every now and again he'd take a sip of his chocolate milk, he was immersed in his own little world.

While Than colored the grown ups discussed Ethan’s new routine and who would babysit when.

thier food came and Brent cup up Ethan’s into small pieces “eat up baby” he handed over the plate

Ethan ate the haggis and smiled, "I really like it Daddy!", he said, while simultaneously eating his burger and chips. In the process of eating he managed to get ketchup and gravy smeared over hos mouth and chops, he even had some ketchup on his nose.

Brent smiled  and wiped the boy with a napkin in water “ I can see that baby it’s so goof you can’t seem to find your mouth” he kissed his boy careful please love”

Ethan rolled his eyes at his Daddy's words. "Yesss Daddy ", he said continuing to eat, luckily for him he didn't spill that much on his clothes. After he was dine he smiled. "I ate the whole thing Daddy! Can we go to Build a bear after? You and me?"

Brent smiled “of course we can go to build a bear love after all daddy promised but what should we do with your brothers my sweet boy”

Ethan shrugged, "I dunno, but they big boys, they can look after themselves, I just wanna do this wid' you.", Ethan said, looking at his Daddy, after all morning spent under his brothers he really wanted to spend sometime with his Daddy, that was after all supposed to be the point.

Brent looked at Ethan “ok baby they can look around the mall while de go to build s bear does that sound ok my love” brent paid the check and they left Brent lifted Ethan and carried him out the door”

Ethan nodded and laid his head on his Daddy's shoulder and enjoyed his warmth. "Yeah Danny and Richie can shop themselves.", he said smiling. He stifled a yawn after they got back from Build-a-Bear he'd have to go down for a nap.

Brent smiled “sounds good baby boy” he got Ethan into his car seat and they were on n thier way

Ethan kicked his feet in the back, excited for Build a Bear but weary of Dan tickling him. He waited until they parked and let Brent get him out. He held his Daddy's hand as they walked to build a bear.

Brent said goodbye to the boys and set off with Ethan. When they got to build a bear Brent gave the boys hand a squeeze “now sweetheart please don’t go too far daddy always needs to be able to see his baby”

Ethan nodded and went round the stoee picking and selecting everything he wanted, in the end he got a fuzzy dog with a black and red collar with a star pendant. He was only fluffed enough to be squidgy and cuddly just the way he liked it. He came rushing back to Brent so they could pay.

“Isn’t he absolutely adorable, ok baby let’s go pay” he held out his hand for Ethan

Ethan took Brent's hand and followed him to the till where the middle aged cashier smiled at him. "Aaaawh aren't you cute! Now what's your new friend's name?"

Ethan blushed and shyly said "Chelsea.", the cashier nodded and put the sticker on the box.

Brent stroked his boys hair “that’s a wonderful name baby” he looked at his watch now would you and Chelsea like an ice cream cone before we meet up with your brothers”

Ethan nodded, "Yeah, yeah! Please Daddy can we?", Ethan said his eyes growing wide. "I want Stracciatela please, please.", Ethan was bouncing up and down on the spot with a great big grin.

Brent squeezed the boys hand “that’s fine baby”

they met up with the boys Brent paid for ice creams and tucked a napkin into Ethan’s shirt to act as a bob “please be careful baby”

Ethan smiped and began to eat his ice cream, he was having such a good time, although he was getting tired, the suvar from the Ice-Cream would only keep him so long. He licked the lovely vanilla and crunched the chocolate chips.

The other three also ate thier snack and watched Ethan practically attack Brent looked at the boys and said “ok guys after spender the Dayvwith Baby Ethan I think we can agree he’s litter then we thought originally so there are going to be some new rule changes first being when you are in a parking lot of busy public place I want you to carry him, we can’t take any  chances”

Ethan turned his head, "No! I don't need carrying! I'm three! Not one!", Ethan said indignantly.

Brent put his hand on Ethan’s shoulder “sorry baby put streets and parking lots are too dangerous and your only little daddy won’t take any chances with your safety”

"But I can hold your or Richard's or Daniel's hand! Then I don't need to be carried I can hold hands!", Ethan exclaimed, even the letting out of anger was therapeutic for him, like the regression. Ethan had repressed a lot of anger over the years, and now to ve able to let it out was good, hopefully he wouldn't be punished for voicing an opinion.
