Bobby looked sheepish this girl was probably his age maybe younger but he just smiled “no I have the money mam” he showed her the bills “I can take the food please”

Bobby waved goodbye feeling so confused then turned to James “but your not my daddy, that doesn’t even make sense why didn’t you set her straight”

Bobby scrunched his nose again “you know you keep calling me honey and stuff and it’s not bad but it’s weird!  And I’m not a baby he whined

Bobby sat down waiting for his pizza “can I have two slices and some coke please” he rubbed his hands together feeling hungry

Bobby sighed “fine!” He whined he bit into his pizza then dropped it “Hot hot hot” he managed to avoid his shirt but made a mess “sorry” he looked up

Bobby looked at James “you just did it again” but he knew he couldn’t push too much he let James clean him up and didn’t even fight the bib “I can feed myself and I’ll  be real careful with my drink I promise”

Bobby started to eat more slowly and carfully this time he still got his bib and face messy but didn’t drop anything  “see I can eat my own self I’m a big boy”

Bobby ate the pizza but dropped the crust on the plate “all done” he made to get up I’ll go wash my hands now, that was so good thanks for getting dinner I’ll call my mom to find out about money”

Bobby looked confused but made his was over to his friend and looked up at him shyly “yes”

Bobby nodded shyly “I’m ok right now but I’ll have to pee in a while but let’s watch more tv I just need to wash my hands”

“Bobby looked shock “no what it’s not bedtime I dont have a bedtime, it’s still really early” he tried to find a clock but couldn’t “I don’t even think it’s 8 yet, it’s still light out and I can hear the kids next door playing in the years and their in like second grade, I don’t need to go to bed the boy whined”

Bobby was shocked “What no I don’t have a bedtime and I don’t take naps and and and your not in charge of me and I can stay up as late as a bunch of 7 year olds please I’m much bigger then they are please”

Bobby just looked sad “but the sun is still out” he pointed to the open window “and I’m the only one in bed he listen to the neighborhood children playing and started to cry “I just dont get it, I’m almost 17 I’m a big boy”

Bobby looked at James with tear streaked eye “Well um will you at least sit with me til I fall asleep maybe... maybe rub my back or my feeties”

Bobby lay on his stomach and Safiya contentedly “this feels real good James thanks” he sighed again his eyes closing and he was asleep

Bobby sleeted for a few hours  then was struck by the need to pee. Thought he dribbled into his pull up he didn’t have a full accident. He sat up and quietly cot out of bed trying not to alert James but he didn’t know what time it was or if James was even in bed yet

 Bobby looked up in surprise he jumped a little and held the front of his pull up “um I need to go potty I mean use the bathroom that’s all  that time is it”

Bobby turned potty ni and swatted James’s hand away “no I didn’t have an accident, I just maybe dribbled a bit that’s all but mama says that normal for all boys even big ones now I really gotta potty please”

Bobby looked panicked “sorry I just I’m confused and still sleepy and you’re being all weird and touchy and you keep calling me names and I really have to peepee” Bobby says doing a little potty dance

Booby looked frustrated but said “nu an I didn’t have an accident but I’m sorry for hitting I just dont like to be touched there now can I please go potty! He was getting despite

“Yes” Bobby nodded in despoliation them made to  past  James fearing he might not make it in time

Bobby froze and then Broke he flooded his pull up and began to sob “wwwweee” he was hicuppng and his nose was running

Inspite of his own feelings of anger with James Bobby hugged him and nodded saying “yes please I needs to change I feel all icky” he looked sheepish up raised his hands to be undressed

Bobby giggled and managed to smile “all better all better no tickles! I’ll peepee again” he was giggling and laughing

Bobby snuggled down feeling sleepy and cosy. When James leaned in to kiss him he didn’t pull away intact and wrapped his arms around James neck “ni ni stay with til I’m sleeping?” He asked even as he faded to sleep
