why can't I delete a post after its old?

I have found that I can not delete things that I have posted on this site after there old. I have also found my post on the internet by this site. Why ca'nt I erase old post? Do people really like diaper man's post that much? If so why? I came to this site looking for answers from people that have a cloth diaper enjoyment as I do. How

What if it is the top of a thread? You would end up deleting the entire thread

not necessarily true, I found some info I posted here via a google search, but I was able to edit that post to remove it, and then reported to google that the info doesnt exist anymore, a few days later, it was gone from googles search results.
