"Yes baby. I'll be involved. Angie's my best friend. And I'm pumping milk for the baby. We'll all be super close"

[Danny]

Looks at you and smiles "I want to get to know you, if that's okay, and can I call you mom or Amanda?" I smile, a little nervous but relieved that she was okay

"Mom doesn't really fit anymore. But you can call me whatever you feel comfortable.

You can call me anytime. Your mom has my number.
Can you please go get the nurse?"

*she screams out in pain*

[Danny]

I rush out and get the nurse "my moms in pain, can you help her pleeease!" I say nervously

I begin to panic and rush back in and hold her hand.

She takes a look under her sheets.

[Danny]

I hold her hand as she is wheeled away "I love you mom" I let go as the nurses rush her into labour room.

Sits down nervously and holds Connies hand and hugs her tight "is she going to be okay? she looked a bit upset"

"Love you Dan"

They take her away. The rest of the family waits.

[Danny]

I nervously wait

About 15 minutes later, they wheel Amanda back in. Angie follows close behind. She pushes the hospital baby cart back in the room.

[Danny]

Looks and smiles "Awwww

[bigbabymikey1062]

Amanda: "Thanks for asking. I still feel the pinching, but I guess it'll pass. I'm really happy for you, Angie"

[Danny]

I look at my birth mom a little sad that she's given her up "Angie is a great mom, Amanda, she will look after her, and I will be the best brother I can" I smile and I go over and hug Amanda

"Maybe when you are out of hospital, and out and about more, we can spend some time together?" I smile

"I'd love to. If that's OK with your mom. Could you big strong boys help me up? I need to use the restroom"

[Danny]

I pick her up the other side and help her to her chair so she can be wheeled down to the bathroom.

"I did think of a name, but I thought it would be best if I didn't name her. I didn't want to get too attached"

[Danny]

Dan looks worried and looks at Amanda "what's happening? Is she okay. Is the baby okay?" I begin to panic

"The baby is fine. Isn't she beautiful? I'm still in pain.
I said I would name the baby Ava if I kept her, but I'm not keeping her. I'm not her mom"

She pages the doctor. He comes in. And sends everyone into the hallway.

"Well, I don't know how to say this, but there's another baby in there"

Connie and Angie listen through the door

"Boys. There's another baby. It's twins"

Angie goes back in.

5 minutes later Amanda gives birth to a baby boy.

The family comes back in.


Angie starts crying.
Connie consoles her.

[Danny]

"Ava. That's a beautiful name. I want her middle name to be Amanda"

"Dan. I'm not keeping the babies. I can't. I'm between jobs. Angie gave me a little money so I could afford a place.

[Danny]

I smile "that's what I want to do. I want to help out.

Justin: "Give her some space. She did just give birth"

[Danny]

"I hope she's doing the right thing" I sigh as I look at the babies asleep in their baskets "they're adorable" I smile proudly

The nurse comes back in.

She starts talking to Angie.

"Hi mom. How are you doing? Make sure to get some skin to skin contact.

Enjoy your babies. We'll feed them later"

[Danny]

Looks at Angie "can I hold them?" I ask nervously.

Connie: "I'm sending the pictures to Rita now. He knows there's 1 baby, but not 2. He'll be so excited for a little brother"
