"hey dan thanks for texting me back maybe we can hangout tomorrow or on the week end. i don't do know if i should help you babysit i don't know how, maybe you can teach me how sometime.

[Danny]

"Okay mate. Babysitting next door neighbour tomorrow after school. I'll teach you to help. I might change you if you need it"

"Ok. You can like diapers. I just want to make sure you're ok. You've been through a lot with the adoption and being put back into diapers"

[Danny]

"I'm not going back to stupid therapy though.

"Lower your voice. People are watching. You don't have to go back to therapy. Let's go home"

[Danny]

Looks at you "in sorry okay" as we head out the door "I don't want some man asking me my problems!

"That's great dear. But we have a bigger problem, dear"

*we get in the car*

"I don't want you babysitting everyday after school. This is your junior year, and the most important time for college applications. So the ladies and I talked it over, and you won't be babysitting again until you find 1 school activity.

While I was at your school I found these brochures. There's lots of stuff to do: Soccer, Football, Student Government, Newspaper, Choir, Gay Straight Alliance, Debate team.

I'm sure you can find something to do"

[Danny]

Looks at you and nods "soccer sounds good to me mom. I've always wanted to play!"

"It is. I used to play on an all girls team at the recent center. Don't know why I ever stopped.

We'll get you signed up tommorow"

*we go in the house*

[Danny]

Nods and smiles "sounds ookay to me" i head up to my room to do my homework.

*Angie calls*

"He wants to play soccer.

You need him on thursday? Well I won't tell him yet.

[Danny]

"Okay mom" I shout down as I text Jeremy.

*Connie goes over to Angie's*

A: "How'd therapy go?"

C: "A complete disaster. Anyway can I see her?"

*Angie has a cradle set up. And there's a baby inside. Connie picks it up*

C: "Aww. She feels so real. I've been thinking of getting one. Dan has been so out of touch lately. And I really want a girl. But I'm too tired to be pregnant again"

A: "Yeah you definitely went the right way with adoption. How's your other son?"

C: "He's fine. He's in college. Track scholarship. He's coming home soon for spring break. I hope Dan does well with soccer.

[Danny]

Just looks bright red and does whatever is needed to be done.....

(hm, that's a little confusing)

Connie: "sweetie. I'm not replacing you.

[Danny]

Heads down and sees this doll laying in a crib

*Angie looks so hurt that she might start crying*

"Why would he say that?

I sigh.

"Baby it's ok. You didn't know. Don't cry. She knows it's not real. But she just wants to have a good time.

Nods and heads to the bathroom.

"We're having hamburgers. My special recipe. I was hoping to pass this recipe down to you"

*I get Angie from the basement. She agrees to come up for dinner. She leaves her baby doll on the couch and joins us in the dining room*

[Danny]

"I'm sorry for what I said.

Angie: "It's ok. You don't have to apologize. You were right.

[Danny]

Looks at her "yeah I guess, I have only met him once so I don't really remember him"

I nod "it will be nice to see him again"

"Sweetie I just want to clear something up. You're not adopted. We don't use the "A" word in this house. You were chosen.
