Katie nodded. "I made varsity. That never happens. I'm only in middle school and the coach wants me to swim for the high school." She said softly. She felt proud, but it

"My old one doesn't fit anymore. It's way too big." Katie said softly. She felt bad that her parents had to buy her a brand new bathing suit after already getting one for her over the summer.

"He didn't?" Cathy didn't look happy about that at all.

"You just got me a new one over the summer when I had a growth spurt." Katie said softly. "They're expensive and I was going to wait to ask for one for Christmas."

"Well, honestly, Katie, if you just asked one for no reason, you are right.

[Shy-Diapers]

Katie turned her head away. She didn't want to tell her mother how she felt. She didn't want to tell her dad but she didn't really have much of a choice.

"Okay, honey.

[Shy-Diapers]

Katie nodded. She stayed in her room, not leaving her bed for a while.

When Jessica heard the girl across the hall from her own room, she eventually came to the door and knocked.

"Katie?" she called in.

"I'm fine!" Katie called trying to hide the pain in her voice. She was emotionally raw and trying her best to hide it.

The girl, being a teenaged girl, felt that the girl in the room was not fine.

"Knock before entering my room!" Katie almost shouted. She had been doing her best not to get angry at the new girl but going into her room without permission was intolerable to Katie. She could've been naked or something!

Around 6, Katie came downstairs and sat as far away from Jess as possible, not looking the girl in the eye.

"I did knock," she said in response as she left to her own room.

She looked at the angry girl and looked down.

Katie took a few bites of food before pushing her plate away. "May I be excused?" She asked standing up. She felt sick to her stomach trying to finish her dinner. She didn't want to eat but knew her parents would make her.

John shook his head.

"Honey, we talked about this in the car.

[Shy-Diapers]

Katie sighed and sat back down. She finished her plate, but she felt sick to her stomach afterwards. She finished her plate and put it in the dishwasher before going back upstairs. She felt even fatter for eating all of that.

Jessica stayed in her room, but she left the door open, just in case.

Katie's parents watched her go back upstairs, and the sighed at each other.

"She thinks she's gaining weight," John told Cathy.

"I know.

Katie got a trash bag from her drawer and put all her clothes that were too big for her inside it. She wasn't planning on throwing them away but rather giving them to goodwill. She just didn't have anything else.

Jessica could hear something coming from Katie's room, but she was too scared to check on her now.

"Fine." Katie said, closing the full bag.

"Honey?

Katie looked at her lap.

"Wow!" he said.

"I don't really know anyone on either level and I don't want to disappoint the coach." Katie said softly.
