I finish my breakfast. "Who is my real dad?" I ask as i dont remember him at all proving it has been a long time since i have seen

"I'm not really allowed to tell you that because he wants to be the one to tell you, honey."

He smiled.

"But you know I can't let you run away because you are a big payday for us, so until he meets us, you will be locked in the bedroom at night, and you will be able to see Laura throughout the day unless I need to talk to her," he said.

"Thats not fair. Your not the boss of me. If shes married to my daddy then shes the boss of me not you." I say as i turn around and slap Ralph before going to find Laura.

Ralph ran over and knocked her to the ground hard on her knees.

I start to bang on the door with my hands screaming and shouting trying to get out. "Let me out. Let me out. You cant do this to me. You wont get your full pay from my dad. Ill tell him the truth." I scream so Ralph can hear. I knew that he would want to be paid fully

"Better only half for punishing you for trying to be disobedient than to be paid nothing because you ran off," he yelled back.

Im laid on the floor behind the door with a sore throat. my face red and puffy slightly bwcause of all the crying. My face also tear stained. I keep my eyes closed as i lay there wanting to be out of the room. Im hungry, my stomach rumbles.

Laura walked in, and she squatted down to her.

"Honey, are you okay?" she asked her rubbing her head.

"Why should i obey him? He isnt my dad and why didnt you tell me that you are married to my dad?" I ask sitting up leaning against the wall. I just look at Laura not moving.

I get uo and leave the bedroom heading downstairs and i sit on the sofa and watch czrtoons on the tv. My sromach continues to rumble.

What about one where your mom has just had something happen to her, and so dad has to come out to get you and take you to live with him, not an actual kidnapping, and while he has you with him, you also learn you have a younger step brother.
