[Shy-Diapers]

Ahuva gave Peter a faint smile. She gladly took her crutch and went back to the other part of the room. She climbed up on the chair and made sure her crutches were working reach.

Peter set Ahuva's soup on the small table, not wanting her to hold it in her lap and spill it. "Ahuva, come eat over here," he said cheerfully.

Liora studied the pizza for a minute as she'd never had it before, at least that she could remember. Finally she took a bite and before long it was gone.

Shiva looked at Peter and saw that he had her soup so she walked over and gladly started eating it. The matzo balls were so soft! The ones at the orphanage were hard as rocks, but she didn't know any better. "Mmmm"

Sarah smiled and gave Liora another piece as well as starting to eat on herself. "What time should we get going tomorrow morning?"

"I'd say no later than 7, just in case we get stuck going through security. Hopefully it won't take too long and then we can get breakfast before we get on the plane," Peter replied as he sat down and got himself some pizza once he saw that Ahuva was enjoying her soup.

"Good idea. Especially with Ahuva's prosthetics and crutches security might take a while." Sarah said gladly eating the pizza, something she was happy that is enjoyed universally. "You like your food?" She asked Liora wondering how much she actually understood.

Liora smiled at Sarah. She really didn't understand anything the nice lady said but she liked the way she talked to her. She never got this kind of one-on-one attention at the orphanage and she was soaking it all up.

Sarah smiled and stroked Liora's hair. Pretty soon it was around 8. She found some pajamas and helped Liora change. She knew the girl slept in a crib, but the hotel wasn't able to supply one. "Do you want to sleep with me?"

Liora just smiled and climbed into Sarah's lap. "You better make sure she goes potty. I don't think her file said anything about bedwetting but you never know with the little ones," Peter said as he pulled out a nightshirt for Ahuva. "Here honey, can you put it on yourself, or do you want some help?" he asked as he handed it to her.

"Good idea." Sarah said and carried Liora to the bathroom. She set her down in front of the toilet seeing if she could do it by herself.

Liora was fully capable of using the small toilets at the orphanage but wasn't so sure about pulling herself up on the big toilet. After pulling her pajama bottoms and panties down she held her arms up, asking for help.

Sarah helped Lions onto the toilet and quickly got a toothbrush they had brought for the girl.

Peter shrugged. One night without brushing probably wouldn't hurt.

Liora sat on the toilet for a few minutes, singing a nursery rhyme softly to herself and swinging her feet before finally peeing. She wiped and looked to Sarah for help getting down.

Ahuvah carefully took her prosthetic legs off and set them beside the bed as she did every night. Though the hotel bed was quite a bit higher than her one in the orphanage. She set her crutches there too before climbing under the blankets.

Peter came over to tuck Ahuva in and handed her the stuffed sheep she'd brought. "Good night, sweetheart," he said softly as he bent down to kiss her forehead.

Liora took her toothbrush and brushed her teeth, doing a decent job for a 3-year-old.

Ahuva rolled over and squeezed her sheep. She sniffled a little. She hadn't been kissed since her father died. It had been nearly three years, but it was still hard to forget.

"Good job!" Sarah praised and brought Liora to bed. "Stay here. I'm going to go change/"

Liora realized she'd be going to bed now and started looking around for her bunny, not knowing it was still at the orphanage. For the first time that day the years began to fall as she sat on the bed crying the softest, saddest little sobs. She didn't want to sleep in this bed. She wanted her bed, and her bunny.

"Oh no." Sarah said and picked Liora up. She tried to calm her down, not remembering any Hebrew whatsoever. "How do we calm her down? I don't know what's wrong!"

"I don't know! Just...maybe try rocking her? Or here. Look honey, you want this?" He offered the crying girl a small soft doll they'd brought her but she wanted nothing to do with it. She just buried her face in Sarah's shoulder and sobbed.

Sarah kept bouncing and rocking Liora gently, doing her best to calm the toddler down. "Shhh shhh it's okay." She rubbed the girl's back and stroked her hair. "Hon, where's that translation dictionary? Maybe we can figure out what's wrong."

Peter dug through his carry-on bag and found the book. "Here you go," he said, handing it to Sarah. He couldn't make out anything the girl said.

Sarah flipped through the book and spoke slowly, completely butchering the language. "Ma....ka....ra?" She asked the little girl, hoping her Hebrew was understandable.

Liora looked at Sarah and started babbling tearfully about her bunny.
