A Troubled Life

Faith started to calm down as Tom spoke to her. It was clear that he was the only person she could trust in her opinion. She was actually starting to relax, until he mentioned specialists. That reminded her of Mommy's medical shows she would overhear.

Tom shook his head.

"Your mom is wrong, honey.

[Shy-Diapers]

Faith listened intently. She searched Tom's eyes and saw that he was sincere. "Okay. Can you stay with me mister?" She asked. She was scared of being apart from the one person she trusted right now.

"Of course I'll stay with you as much as the doctor will let me," he told her honestly.

[Shy-Diapers]

"Okay." Faith said as they pulled up to the hospital. She was leaning into Tom at this point. She was starting to trust him.

"Well, that depends on what you mean by hurt you, honey.

[Shy-Diapers]

"Okay mister. Just please don't tell my Mommy if I cry. I don't wanna get in trouble." Faith said softy. She was really scared still.

Tom forced his way back there anyway and found her before they started.

The doctor came in just after Tom had arrived.

"I was told I cannot be here, but she needs me," he told the doctor.

Faith was about to completely shut down when Tom finally came in. Her eyes lit up a little as she put her arms out for him. She didn't know what to do or say right now. She knew Tom more than anyone else here and she didn't like being away from him.

"I'll try to explain that to her.

Faith put her arms our for Tom to hold her. She started to feel safe whenever he held her. She didn't know what the feeling was, but she kind of liked it. "Mister?" She said softly. She was still scared to speak up, but she wanted Tom.

"Dang it, I left her bag at the house.

[Shy-Diapers]

"I see." The doctor said. He started recording the girls vitals. "Her heart is racing." He said more to himself than Tom. "How old did you say she was?" Looking at the girl she seemed no more than 5 or 6 years old.

The doctor wrote everything down as Tom said it. "Okay. That should be enough background for now. I'm going to have to start the examination now. You can hold her if you'd like." He said as he gently unpinned and removed the shirt Faith was wearing. "Oh my" He said looking at the girls back. "She has obviously been abused, and is severely malnourished,

"It's okay," Tom said as the girl struggled with herself.

Faith eventually broke down and had huge tears running down her face. She was terrified. She had to go potty, and she wanted to tell Tom that she was scared! "I don't understand one and two." She eventually cried out before going silent again. The girls eyes were glazed over and she was shaking hard.

"Thank you so much!" Tom said to the doctor.

"Honey, one and two doesn't matter, okay?

[Shy-Diapers]

Faith started to calm down as the doctor left and Tom rocked her. She was breathing normally again. She leaned into Tom, and for the first time she grabbed his shirt as if she was afraid she'd be pried away from him.

Faith's little body was so traumatized, that once a leak started she just didn't seem to be able to shut it off.

The nursing student at the front desk nodded. She recorded Tom's address. "Social services will be to your house as soon as they can." In reality, social services was so backed up, that it would be at least a week before they could send someone out.

Tom carried her around and got her to the car.

"The sores on your body feel a little better, though, now, right?" he asked her.

Tom carried her out to the car, and he opened the passenger side, and he sat there with her in his lap for

(How would he have his car if they took the ambulance over? Sorry I'm just confused.)

Faith shook and held onto tom. She nodded. Her body did feel somewhat better.

Faith leaned into Tom and had a tight grip with both of her hands on his shirt. Her stomach was still in knots. She hated that place. Mommy was right, doctors and hospitals were bad!

"Don't take me back mister." She said softly. She didn't want to go back to the hospital ever again!
