Shy-Diapers
Samantha was about to reach for a second pancake when Maria spoke up. "Robin if you're done you can go get dressed." She decided that instead of wasting the pancake, she'd let Samantha eat it. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"Okay." Robin gladly slipped off her chair and bolted upstairs, where she got dressed in red and white fair aisle leggings, a white Aran sweater, and caramel-colored Ugg boots. "I don't know how that kid survives on what she eats," Sam said with another shake of his head. "I'm pretty sure the baby eats more than she does." Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
Maria shook her head and gently swatted Sam with her oven mit. "Leave her be. The doctor said she'll eat when she wants." Once Sam has finsihed the half a pancake, she went upstairs and put on a black sweater dress resembling a pull over hoodie and purple tights with her bilberry uggs. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"I know, I know." Sam finished his coffee and started cleaning up the kitchen. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
"Sure honey. Duetch or French braids today?" Maria said getting a hair tie off her wrist. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"Two French braids, please." Sam finished cleaning the kitchen and went to get dressed before getting the baby up. He got her changed and dressed before taking her downstairs for a bottle so Maria could do Robin's hair and get ready herself. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
Once Robin's hair was done she sent her on her way. "Go play. You have hour doctors appointment today. We'll leave in an hour." Link to comment
justagirl4fun
Robin returned to her room and got out her 1/4 size fiddle to practice. While the instrument was a good fit for her, she was hoping Santa would bring her a bigger one with a better tone for Christmas. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
Maria went upstairs to shower and get dressed. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"What instrument do you want to play?" Sam asked. He had no problem with Samantha taking lessons; after all, Robin had started when she was 5. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
"What's the really big fiddle?" Samantha asked, remembering seeing an upright bass in the music store where they got Robin's fiddle. "I wanna play that!" Link to comment
justagirl4fun
Sam chuckled. "I think that might be a bit big for you. But how about the cello?" he suggested, thinking that the bass was not only too big for Samantha, but too big for his wallet. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"It looks like the violin, but bigger...just not as big as that upright bass!" Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
"Oh, okay! Cello then!" Samantha said eagerly. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"Okay. I'll call around and see about getting you signed up for lessons, and renting a cello, after your doctor appointment today," Sam promised. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
"Yes!" Samantha said triumphantly. She gave her father a hug before going to her room to play. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
Sam played with the baby until it was almost time to go. "Samantha, Robin, come get ready," he called up the stairs before getting Isabelle bundled up and packing the diaper bag. "Robin, make sure you go to the bathroom before we leave," he reminded her. It was only a short drive to the doctors, about 15 or 20 minutes, but he knew if she didn't go, she'd need to pee halfway there. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
Samantha threw her red peacoat and hat on and waited to go. "Daddy, do I have to get any shots this time?" She asked. She wasn't due for any of her boosters yet, so she only had to get a flu shot. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"Just your flu shot today," Sam said, glad the girls only needed one shot each this time. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
"Okay." Samantha said. She really wasn't happy about getting the shot, but was happy it was just one. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"No, I don't think so." Sam knew Maria had the girls' insurance cards in her purse, and he had the diaper bag with several clean diapers, Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
Maria nodded and hoped up front to drive. Link to comment
justagirl4fun
"I know," Robin said, trying to force a smile. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
(I'll do it. If someone comes along wanting to play the baby they can.) Samantha smiled thinking of how to cheer her sister up. "Daddy said after the doctors he's gonna find me a cello! It's like a big violin like you have but bigger!" Link to comment
