justagirl4fun
"Are you sure?" Valerie asked one last time as she started heading towards the register slowly. "What about me, mom? I wanna get something too," Janie whined as she clutched a rather large stuffed lion to her chest. Valerie sighed. "Janie, you have more toys than you know what to do with. You don't need anything else. Besides, you haven't been a very good girl today. Link to comment

justagirl4fun
"Not today. Little girls that throw temper tantrums don't get new toys," Valerie said as she retrieved the lion and set it back on the shelf. "Now get moving." She took Janie's hand and began walking briskly towards the front of the store. Link to comment

She didn't know what to do, so she just followed close behind Valerie. Just as the line shortened so they were next, Sarah started tugging on Valerie's pants and started to fidget and dance around, suddenly feeling the very present urge to go to the bathroom. justagirl4fun
Janie smirked. She remembered Sarah bringing the ratty old thing in the bathroom stall and was quite sure it was still in there. She thought about mentioning it to Valerie, but decided to let her new foster sister suffer; after all, the girl had gotten five new toys. What did she need that yucky old rabbit for? "Oh, honey, do you remember where you had it last?" Valerie asked. "You did bring it in with you, right?" Link to comment
