Abbie opens hers and goes up to change, but takes her time doing so.

Cora comes back down and sits next to Colin on the couch,

Cora: Could i sit on your lap?

She asks Colin.

Charlotte: Okay girls this is my special hot cocoa recipe

She says setting a cup for eveyone on the table

Charlotte: It's just like normal hot cocoa but has caramel creamer in ir

(Adding caramel coffee creamer to hot chocolate tastes awesome!)

(I like peppermint in my hot cocoa but that sounds good too!)

(You can get it at dunkin donuts as well. Tastes better homemade with milk.)

Cora: thank you

I say cuddling up to your chest as Charlotte starts the movie,

Charlotte: Everybody comfy?

"Yeah, I'm good," Abbie says, curling up in the chair with her candy cane-striped fleece blanket. Kristyn sits next to Charlotte and rests her head of Charlotte's arm.

Charlotte rubs Kristins back as the preview play.

Cora stays cuddled up to Colin's chest smiling having a nice time with her new family.

Colin leans back and enjoys the movie, glad that the girls are all, at least for the moment, getting along and behaving, though he wishes Abbie would stop sulking. He decides to let her be, for the sake of keeping the peace.

Cora manages to stay awake until the end of the movie, but is very tired. She finishes her hot chocolate and yawns.

Charlotte: How did everybody like the movie?

Kristyn is already asleep on the couch. Abbie is yawning and rubbing her eyes. "It was okay," she says.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte: Okay why don't we go to bed. If you girls want you can sleep down here tonight.

She says placing a blanket over Kristin.

(wait if they sleep downstairs how does Santa come?!?!)

(They try to stay awake but end up falling asleep before he comes. I did that all the time until I was 14.)

(lol my parents never let us do that. They'd be all "Santa won't come if you're not in your beds sleeping!")

(I was the only who ever wanted to. Up until I was six i was the youngest. My siblings are 11 8 1/2 and 6 years aprt from me. ,y mother knew I'd be asleep lol.)

Charlotte: you're right. I forgot maybe Santa would like some hot cocoa. Or do you want to stick with milk?

She asks as Cora falls asleep in Colin's lap.

"Just milk, I think." Abbie goes to the kitchen and fills their "cookies for Santa" plate with an assortment of cookies and pours a glass of milk, then carefully carries them to the living room and places them on the coffee table. "What about the reindeer food? Remember we put that out last year?" The year before Colin had given the girls a bag filled with rolled oats and glitter, which he called reindeer food, and taken them outside to sprinkle it on the ground.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte: how about we leave carrots for them? Reindeers love carrots.

She says knowing they don't have any "reindeer food"

"Oh, okay. That'll be good," Abbie said, running to the refrigerator for carrots.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte: do you wanna sleep Dan here with your cousins or upstairs?

She asks as Cora stays fast asleep but her thumb starts creeping into her mouth.

"Upstairs, I guess," Abbie says, seeing her cousins taking up the couch and Caitlin sprawled out on the loveseat.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte: Okay sweety. Do you want me to come tuck you in?

She asks wanting to make sure Abbie felt loved.

Cora stirs a little but stays asleep on Colin's chest sucking her thumb now.

"Yeah." Abbie grabs her blanket and runs upstairs. Colin sets Cora down, glad her cousins didn't catch her sucking her thumb, and covers her up with a blanket.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte follows Abbie uostairs and once her teeth are brushed she comes and tucks her in.

Charlotte: Good night sweetheart. Sweet dreams, I'll see you in the morning.

She says with a kiss to her forehead before returning to Colin in the bedroom.

Charlotte: Hon, do we have any ginger ale?

"Goodnight mommy," Abbie says, curling up under the covers and quickly drifting off to sleep.

[Shy-Diapers]

Charlotte: Yeah, thanks honey. I've been feeling nauseous all day.

She says changing into a nightgown and climbing into bed.

Colin gets the ginger ale for Charlotte, then changes into his pajamas and goes back downstairs to put the presents under the tree and fill the stockings. When he's done he creeps back upstairs and slips into bed next to his wife. "Feeling any better?"
