"Should I just call an ambulance instead?" Colin asked, worried he wouldn't get her to the hospital in time.

[Shy-Diapers]

"No, it's alright. The last three times you remember how long I was in labor, we'll be good, just go." Charlotte said breathing slowly and steadily, trying to stay calm.

"Okay." Colin backed out of the driveway and drove to the hospital as fast as he dared.

[Shy-Diapers]

"They went to the hospital. Mommy is having the babies." Jane said smiling at Abby. "Do you wanna go back to sleep?"

"The babies? Already? But I thought they weren't coming until August! What about the party today?"

[Shy-Diapers]

"Sometimes twins come sooner. Everyone will help with the party and I'm here. We have everything planned."

"Oh, okay," Abbie mumbled sleepily as she cuddled up to Jane and dozed off.

I wake up all happy. "Daddy? Mommy?" I shout not knowing that they have just gone out

Kristyn is on her way to the bathroom when she hears Evie yelling. She continues on to the bathroom, expecting Colin or Charlotte to respond, but by the time she's done Evie is still yelling so she goes looking for them. When she can't find them she runs back upstairs. "I don't know where they are."

[Shy-Diapers]

Jane hears the yelling after a minute and goes upstairs not understanding why Evie couldn't come down if she needed something. "Indoor voice Evie." She scolded gently. "Mommy and Daddy went to the doctors. They'll be back soon."

"Why did they go to the doctors this early?" Kristyn asked, getting nervous. "Is everything okay?"

[Shy-Diapers]

"Everything is fine sweetie," Jane assured her, scooping her up. "Aunt Charlotte might be having the twins now."

[justagirl4fun]

"Really? Like right now?" Kristyn squealed. "Can we go see them? I want to hold them!" she said, jumping around excitedly.

[Shy-Diapers]

"It might take a little while. They'll call us when we can come over. "I'm sure you'll be able to hold them when they come home."

[justagirl4fun]

"Oh, okay. Can we have breakfast now?"

[Shy-Diapers]

"Of course." Jane said leading the girls downstairs and to the kitchen. "How about some eggs?"

"Yeah, that's good. Gramma, how do babies get born?" Kristyn asked as she sat at the table to wait for breakfast.

[Shy-Diapers]

Jane smiled and started cracking the eggs. "Well, the doctors make a tiny cut in the mommy's tummy and take the babies out." She said not lying about how that is one way, but wasn't the way any of her grandchildren were born.

"Oh. Does it hurt?"

[Shy-Diapers]

"A tiny bit, but the doctors give the mommy some medicine so it doesn't." Jane says hoping that was all the questions for now.

"Who gets to hold the babies first when we go visit them?"

[Shy-Diapers]

"Probably me or uncle Colin if he hasn't yet. Usually the grown ups go first and then the kids can hold them." Jane said, dishing out the eggs on plates for everyone.

"Oh," Kristyn said, taking a bite of eggs. "But which one of

[Shy-Diapers]

"Well, usually it's oldest to youngest, so it would be Cora, then Abbie if she wants to, then you cans then Caitlin. But while one of you holds one of them someone else can old the other. That's one of the good things about twins." Jane said hoping she wouldn't be disappointing or upsetting any of the girls.
