Favorite book and/or author?

I would agree with Book Thief, it is awesome, but the movie is nowhere near as good.

However, my favourite book has got to be Brisingr (the third book in the Eragon series - officially called The Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini. I guess I like the imaginative world, and the characterisation. I like how there are so many subplots but the main plot is still very apparent. It's a fun read.
