darboy
I ran across this today on Etsey https://www.etsy.com/listing/179000091/award-winning-green-adult-mini-standing?ref=sr_gallery_21&ga_search_query=adult+baby+diaper&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=4&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery I'm thinking about purchasing one of these. This could come in handy for those of us that wear in public. Nothing is worse for me then having to change a diaper and having to set it on the ground in someone elses pee on the ground. Then having to put powder on and try not to dump it all over your pants. Anyone else with any thoughts on this product or has anyone have experience with using it? Link to comment
nhdl
I just lean against a wall to hold my diaper in place while I tape up. Link to comment
Bettypooh
I've figured out how to do my disposable diaper changes standing and I get as good a fit as I can any other way. Off with the old, place the new one between your spread legs, pull the front up to where it normally goes, tuck it under you tightly, close your legs to hold it there, then fasten the tapes by referencing to where the padding in the diaper is. The key is in getting the first tape placed just right- after that it takes care of itself With my Attends and Depends, the top tape goes where the padding starts and once both of those are done the diaper holds itself for the lower tapes. With Bambinio's the top tape goes an inch away from the padding. Just study where the tapes go with your diaper properly fitted and put them there- it's really that easy! No walls, tables, or beds needed to get a good fit every time wherever you are Link to comment
Baby Brian
I can change just like bettypooh explained but usually lean back against a wall like nhdl mentioned. With both ways to change I can't see any use for this standing changing pad thing. Link to comment
willnotwill
I've been backing myself against the wall ever since I saw that procedure on an Attends bag over twenty years ago. Link to comment
wolfpup2008
I always wear a pair of Abri-Fix pants over my diaper during the day. So when it's time to change I pull my pants down to my ankles, pull the Abri-Fix down to my knees, then unfold the new diaper and lay it ready-to-put-on on top of the Abri-Fix. Only then do I begin to untape my used diaper. That way the new diaper catches any pee that's dripping down after I take off my old diaper. After that it's easy to lift the new diaper up, tape it, pull up the Abri-Fix and pants, and voila. I am using the Abri-Fix as a sort of prep table. Link to comment
robert_dl
I can't see the problem this product claims to address! Link to comment
