Diaper_Angel
Go to your doctor and ask about Fluticasone nasal spray. about 80% of ear infections are due to allergies causing inflammation of the eustation tubes not allowing fluid to drain properly causing fluid build up (hearing loss) pain and even facial swelling and if left untreated, infection. feralfreak
try a hair dryer on low to melt wax in your ear, or maybe use a heating pad under your head for the heat to melt any wax in there Link to comment
DiapermanAl
Thanks for the tips. We have some of the nasal spray here. There is no wax at least. Im very picky with personal hygene. But the heating pad will help with the pain. Forgot its Sunday lol so no docs. Hopefully the spray will help. Thanks again. Al Link to comment

kevindhca
You could try warming a bit of mineral oil and put it in your ear. Put a small piece of cotton ball in the opening, not too deep. This will keep the cold air out of your ear, and hopefully reduce the pain Link to comment
Little BabyDoll Christine
If this is a winter phemonenon, it could be due to overly dry air. try a humidifier of some sort. I just put bowls of scented water on the radiators, been using that trick for 30 years Link to comment
DiapermanAl
I have a skull cap that goes over my ears. Comes in handy when the wind is blowing. It is awful dry in the house. I put a pot of water on the kerosine heater to see if that helps. Link to comment
