Guest Sasha
40k has recently piqued my interest as a well-developed, well-written, pre-Blizzard universe. I've been reading as much as I can about the universal lore and story, and I am enjoying what I'm learning. Can anyone here, having played either the board game or any of the franchise, tell me where or what game is a good starting point to learn and experience the story? -Rexx Link to comment
diapered8966
I've been playing for about ten years, it's really alot of fun. If you want to learn more about the story, the best place to start is with the rulebook. You can buy it online at www.gamesworkshop.com Link to comment

Guest Sasha
Is there a certain pc game that's best at telling the story? Link to comment
Yuna
I think 40k is best by mixing Rogue Trader with 2nd ed books and rules to make a role playing game where each player starts off with 500-750 pts if units (2nd ed) and you make an evolving storyline playing with each player playing against the GM, gaining and losing units, echancing certain units, eventually teaming up some of the players and having them all fight each other after a few months of playing. The boardgame Space Hulk is a great way to get into 40k with some friends for a confined amount of money since it is a self contained game. Link to comment
