baby_ryan
A problem. So i've started writing a story in Microsoft Word and part way through it I would like a bit of critiquing from the board. But how do I paste it onto the editor with it maintaining the line spacing? For instance between line speech their is a gap like between the first couple of lines on this post but whenever I paste it into the editor it squeezes everything together. Anybody out there help me, please? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
Emily in Diapers
I've also been wondering this ever since I started posting my story. For now, I've just been adding extra lines in ms word before copying it over... Link to comment
peelover
Just post it the way it is. I don't care if the line spacing is off. Link to comment
Bettypooh
Try converting the file to a different format such as .pdf before copying and pasting. I don't know if it will work here but that cured a similar problem I had when I did editing work on a newsletter Even though I use it, MS Word format sucks when you're not using the latest version, which is by design incompatible with older versions Just another of many reasons I think of them as "Microshaft" Bettypooh Link to comment
baby_ryan
Just post it the way it is. I don't care if the line spacing is off. I would but it looks poor and the critics here would just slate it. This is what it looks like without the line spacing. Paragraphs dont break up and the speech looks too cramped in my opinion. “Aren’t you going to change his nappy? Link to comment
