Kari
I remember watching her commercials and wishing I had a "Nanny". Johnson Disposable Diapers came out in the mid 70's to compete with Pampers. Before then, IDK of any other brand out there as Huggie's came a little later. When Huggie's came out, JDD seem to leave the marketplace. As I understand it, Luvs were introduced as a value brand of diapers for P&G. All I know is back then thicker was better. Now with the absorbent gel, each company wants thin as underwear. Are parents that concerned that someone might see a bulge in their kids pants. I say, the thicker the better! And God Bless Juliet Mills for her contribution to diaper history. Link to comment
square_duck
I adored Juliet Mills! I watched her on "Nanny and the Professor" and simply fell in love with her. Not only was she very pretty, but she had that wonderful English Dialect that I simply adore. I also adore Julie Andrews, another brit who again is very physically attractive and pretty, but she can SING! (or could anyways before she lost her voice ) and she could act....UGH.....makes my heart go where are such people today....*sigh* qwack Link to comment

timmyc
Are parents that concerned that someone might see a bulge in their kids pants. No, the diaper companies are trying to mass produce their product as cheaply as possible to increase their profit margin. I remember J&J's but not Juliet Mills their were also Kimbies Kiberly Clark's predecessor to Huggies. Link to comment
