Tine kind I wear are about half way to the knee, which when you are in thick diapers, just covers the panties. This is a two piece outfit that consists of the babydoll and panties that are matched, Back when I was little and up until recently, the panty was always full to look like baby rubber panties, even for teenage girls. If you read the Wikipedia article it says that they were made to be easy to change diapers, which meant easily lifted or felt under, which grownup ladies were often invited to do in the case of a 5 or 6 year old little girl who was still put in diapers and rubber panties for bedwetting and there were no rhumba panties or fancy panties so you knew she could feel the rubber and knew what it meant, to make her feel ashamed. When you are 5 years old and your favorite coisin, about 12 finds out that you are in rubber panties; you have no idea what that is like. Also, you must be careful how you move or you can get teased for putting on a show and this is how we learned to keep our skirts down.

In the 1970's toddler sets came out that were a too-short dress and rhumba panties that were let to show. Also babydoll now seems to means a long t-shirt that a girl wears like a dress or something just plain hideously trollopy
