Official Report: New Jersey Littles 'Down The Shore' Munch

RSVP: Not required for munch but try to let us know. Required for activity.

Time: 10:30 am (sharp) until noon

Location: Toms River Diner, 445 Route 37 E, Toms River, NJ 08753

Activity: "Beach AB's"

RSVP: Required for activity

Time: 12:30 until 5pm

Location: Island Beach State Park, NJ

Parking Cost: $10 per vehicle. Car pooling can be arranged in advance.

Directions from the north: Take Garden State Parkway south to exit 82A.

Take Route 37 east to get to the Diner (located next to the CVS.) To get to the beach, follow the caravan from the munch parking lot, and continue along Route 37 East to Route 35 South to Park entrance, the entrance road is several miles long.

Reverse this order to make your way home.

The second monthly NJ ABDL Traveling Munch and Activity was held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Toms River Diner. We met up with three new members from NJ and one stalwart member from New York State. As it is NJL Policy to protect the names of members if anyone in attendance wishes to post your own name on this thread then you are welcome to do so without using a last name please. Despite the unfortunate weather (heavy rain) most travelled out of their way to get to the munch regardless. I was very impressed by the determination of everyone who came out.

After a friendly chat over good eats we headed over to the famous Boardwalk to play at the Arcade. It was FUN and we want to go back, especially to ride the Merry-Go-Round. We got to play sharpshooter and skeeball and win stuff. I got the Big Lollipop from the candy shop. Its really fun to feel like a kid again.

We now have one member and several people interested from Ocean County, NJ among our membership. Its a sure bet we're planning to go back next summer, probably for an afternoon at Island State Park Beach and then an evening at the Boardwalk. Don't miss it next year! Spouses and Adult SO's will love it too.
