I am working on the poster board for our little entry and I was thinking of making a second board for the Heidi Lynn memorial.

I would love some ideas on this one..

If you know of a good photo we should use please let me know or send it to me. I have an archive of photos from our travels that I can use if you don't come up with something you prefer.

Last min preperations are under way now I'm getting so excited.

Any of you that live in or near Veags owe it to yourself to come and at least observe us in the parade or come and meet us before. You will not be sorry that you did!!

I am still looking for a wagon. I hope to find one soon because I need to figure out a bracket to hold the sign. If you find one let me know so I can get some mesurments from you.

Also this is a night time parade so some accent lights are good. I have a couple of small but bright LED flash lights that I will use to light up the sign (if we find a wagon) then I was going to take another LED lantern that I have to place in a paper bag for the Heidi Lynn memorial.

If anyone had some LED lights or even some of the chemical light sticks or neclaces they would probably help.

THe size is not all that important other than a real big one may be harder to transport to and from the parades. We jsut need something for our center piece or "float" mostly to hold the sign(s). Sure we can add other props to the wagon to help get our point across like stuffed animals and other infant-todler style toys. But mostly just to transport and hold the sign.

We could just take turns holding the sign but it may be harder to interact with the crowd that way?

I found some fun LED lights that you are going to love tonight when I was at the Rocky Horror Picture Show..

Last year Heidi and I just used some of the chemical type rope or necklas lights and that worked just fine..

I want to make a bracket to hold the sign that will sit in the wagon. Best if it could handle a slight breaze with out blowing over. the sign I am making for this year is 40" wide and 30" high so not to large but will look pretty big riding on a wagon. The LED flash lights I have will light up the sign pretty well.

I pinned and wore some of the light stick types on my clothing last year to draw more attention! I'm not sure if it helped or not? Don't really need to add anything to one of my outfits to draw more attention

The parade ends on the east end of the Fremont Street Experiance. and kicks off at around 7:00 PM we should be in the staging area sometime between 5:00 and 5:30 PM

Well... I just noticed this thread. If you're all in town, I'll be at the local industrial club at Krave Lounge on that evening (Friday, right) actually celebrating my birthday. Be warned that it is a club full of goths, but if you like Gothic/Industrial/EBM music, it's not a bad venue.

The club is conjoined with Planet Hollywood. It's on the outside, however, and can be found to be directly across the street from the Harley Davidson restaurant. There's... not technically a dress code, but most everybody else will be wearing black unless next week has a theme. Obviously, I won't be "padded" at this, as these are people with whom I regularly associate and it won't be my bedtime, Just remember that it is the Krave LOUNGE, not the Krave club. It's smaller, a little more personal, and usually doesn't have more than one person dancing sans shirt.

Obviously I was joking on the dress code thing. One of my dresses has more fabric in it than most the people at the club have in their whole wardrobe. You could certainly call it odd attire but indecent is out of the question.

Sounds like you have been to the club before. How do you think that we would be accepted? We would not want to make you uncomfortable by our presnce there either? Would you be comfortable with us there? Obviously this would give you the chance to observe us from the side line without exposing yourself in the process. No one would be alramed if you took notice of us since everyone in the place would be doing the same.

If you played your cards right you could feel your friends out a bit on how they feel about things like that and still remain completely undetected yourself. What an oppertunity that could be!

You did not answer the question about the cover charge? Is there one at the Krave Lounge?

*snicker* I.. wouldn't bet on baby-wear being accepted in-club. However, if you're wearing a dress that resembles gothic lolita, it'd probably be fine. Dozens of tourists drop in in normal clothes each Friday, at least, so they'd be accepted.

As for what'd make -me- comfortable, don't worry. Ill be wearing PVC neck to toe and I say hi to everybody who looks friendly, as a rule, especially if they say hi to me. I also do Fetish/Fantasy, so it's pretty hard to make me uncomfortable. I'd just be worried about people (especially tourists) giving you guys trouble if you came in baby-wear or anything close so I'd recommend against. it.

On Hooters: They have nice wings. Even I've been there (but we have like 30 of them here).

There is no cover before midnight, five dollars after midnight. I'll probably be arriving more or less right at 11. See if you can spot me. ^_~

Edit: I almost forgot! Thanks for wishing me a happy birthday! I'll assuredly be celebrating that evening with several glasses of absinthe.

WOW..boy Duck I think you looked to far into that..It sure looked as though that was said in a purely zestful nature given the tongue smileys. I think perhaps you have thought to much into it. Hooters (Given the name) sounds like what you describe. But I can assure you that while the main patrons are most likely male, that it is indeed a family restaurant. They have a broad range of food not just wings which are pretty darn good BTW. I frequently take my family there and see many family's there as well. There is also Plenty of legs and rear to look at there too and never any nudity. It's more of a throw back to the old drive in atmosphere. Back when hooters first opened the girls would be on roller skates, they would hula hoop and just pretty much mess around. Depending on which you go to, they have a network of wires strung through the restaurant over head your order is taken then clipped to the wire and flung to the kitchen with a loud..."order up!!" It's a really fun place.

I know your having a hard time (Day) hang in there man..have a great time in Vegas..hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit after that darn Text bill...I hate texting too!!

I have had a really shitty week, and am in an utterly foul (not fowl) mood, so I certainly don't need to waste my time arguing with some arrogant, overly hormone driven, sophomoric, 20 something piss ant over what constitutes being 'Male' or not.

But I will tell you this to be truthful, not that I owe you or anyone else anything:

To answer you insipid question, yes! basically I go to work and then go home, I am a hermit. I have my activities and hobbies sure, but hanging out at bars and places like Hooters isn't one of them. I'm not much of a sexual person, and I'm more of a Leg and butt kind of guy, boobs (Hooters) don't do much for me. I have always been this way, and in reality, I am deeply embarrassed by my gender, being male is a hassle at the very least.

I don't know if this is because I may have been molested at a young age or what happened, I just don't fall into the general sexual (what I consider) "male pig" stuff. I have been to strip clubs and porno flicks and felt VERY uncomfortable.....does that make me less than a "man"...I think not....I am who I am, and thats all that I am...I feel no need to do anything to "prove something" to someone.

I bet you probably ride a Harley too and fall for all that other 'pseudo "macho" Bull crap that 'society' foists upon us or that we are 'expected'

to participate in, simply because we are "male"...

I have news for you...its all bogus and BS and a waste of time living up to someone else's expectations I live my life how I see fit and do what makes me happy, and to hell with anyone else if they see other wise. Just because I haven't frequented some "titty' bar to oogle at some minimum wage, scantily clad floozy DOESN'T make me less of anything. I prefer to leave the male "Neanderthal' urges in in the gutter where they belong.

I don't look at women solely as some sex object, I try and look at them as people, not someone there for my pleasure. I don't have much of an ego, and I have a hell of a big inferiority complex which I am trying to deal with, but I have little patience with people who feel that I'm NOT a man, just because I don't waste my time in a social trap swilling over priced beer and lusting over the female employees, which I can never have in the first place. I'm feeling better now......sorry...It's part of a passive-aggressive behavior thing that happens now and then if someone pushes one of my buttons, which happened a couple of days ago at work...it has to run a coarse of a couple of days before I crash and its followed by depression and a general shitty feeling. I really,... REALLY R*E*A*L*L*Y hate it, and wish I knew how to deal with it better...but its part of who I am, until I get some better tools to deal with it, I try to warn people before they choose to fuck with me....which isn't a very nice thing to do.
