complete Breaking the Girl: A Novel

I think you might be right in a way, specifically that Dani isn't used to being as vulnerable as she is to Vanessa. I mean, vanessa is crafting this 'miss perfect' image and anyone that's fallen for 'perfect' before becomes gradually more suspicious every time 'perfect' simply isn't. -

I assure you, you didn't cause a trainwreck: you did what you thought was right. Some people simply didn't agree with that. (Even if you posted the chapter without stating why it made you uncomfortable I'm sure at least one person would have brought up the parallels to real-world events happening.) Keep on jammin and pumping out amazing stories. -

I mean, I'm with Trip on this if I'm being totally serious. I was trying to playfully urge the plot along and poke some fun at Kimmy's voting system on this story. I want to find out where Kimmy is gonna go with Dani. I'm so impatient when it comes to good stories! -

I mean, there's a little corner of my mind that wouldnt want Jess to suffer. but the rest of me would love to find out more about her and see her in some of the predicaments that led to her and seth having the relationship they currently enjoy. -

Yeah... that tantrum scene was amazing! If Dani doesn't move fast I might try to start a petition for a side-story focusing on Jess and Seth's happenings. -

I think it's too early for me to pick a definitive favorite, but jess is definitely in the running (I'm trying to figure out dani still so I haven't decided of she's higher or lower on the list than jess right now.) Kaylee seems like someone that would get on my nerves within an hour of knowing her. -

I love how this story is taking your "it takes all kinds" statement and writing it out as a perfect example of how that looks. Especially with Kaylee being too mercurial for vanessa, but I sincerely hope someone in the story is her "perfect someone" even if she is one of the antagonists and not the main character. I have faith that you'll write another "--and everyone lives happily ever after!" Ending even if the characters don't realize it on the journey. -

Even without the pseudospoiler i can tell I'm going to enjoy reading where this blackmail goes and what Aubry is gonna do. Cunning antagonists are fun to follow (huh, now that i think about it, that's probably why I like almost all of your antagonists except Opal... she was just mean!) -

I just finished chapter 4 and you've hooked me again. I don't understand how you can write a story that pulls me in so completely. I felt a pang of guilt for jess at the "am I a burden?" Question, mainly because I heard the same question so many times from different littles in the classes at CAPCON! -
i actually haven't read through that one of yours yet. the reason is split about 50/50 between your warning that it's super-dark and also your warning that it gets super-sexual in some chapters. i enjoyed reading 'it's the little choices' but that was done in a clever way where the sexuality wasn't just 'have some smut' fashion that makes me lose interest in stories. i need to get around to reading it some time.

Naomi struck the social nail on the head! Talk about real-world parallels. It makes me smile when I see a coworker's jaw drop when my comments don't align with the mental image they have of me. But only a couple people I work with know much about my personal life outside work and gaming and certainly none of them know anything about this facet of me.
-
I think it'll be less about getting her in trouble and more about the 'spy VS spy' game of outsmarting each other that Naomi started as Rebel. I get the feeling that brie will -at some point- switch from trying to outsmart Naomi in the traditional sense and use more brat-like prank-ish tactics... but that's just my guess based upon the authors.

I'm sure some of her message board friends will catch on to the 'everything is fine, I'm going through a life change' whilst also deleting the photo as a possibly ominous sign... I know if I sent some of my discord friends a message that read "I'm fine, don't worry about me" out of nowhere without any questions to prompt a comment like that it would do nothing but make them a bundle of worry and prompt them to dig and ask more.
-
i never said i wanted her to stay out of diapers forever, but it's no fun without Sabrina trying her best to oppose Naomi! that's gonna be really hard to beat! part of what made Making the best of it such a favorite of mine is that Kimmy went through so much, struggled with her identity and finally accepted where she belongs.

@bbykimmy @KWOceans HOLY COW!! That plot twist! Like many others I read "did you like my acting?" And I felt my stomach and jaw drop. I thought the orajel paci story was cute (and a bit of a 'cute in a mean way' idea that im totally stealing for later XD) I feel like this will be very similar cat-and-mouse game to 'Chasing Emily' for at least a few chapters to build up tension. Even though I know how these things typically go I'm rooting for Sabrina getting away with it! You've both done it again and gotten me hooked on a story.

That's easy, I posted on my favorite one! I liked A Bedtime Tale in Eire. (I have a soft spot for fox characters and it was really cute) and I was fearful in the middle of It's the Little Choices after Aimee went with Wendy, but I liked the really big twist on the second cam day and how the story ended... although I can't help but suspect that her psychologist might watch her cam stream. (Any time she wants alone time she gets it?- at least in my mind it made me chuckle to consider the possibility) I actually will be going to capcon this year. The decision was made after going to a local munch last year after CAP and hearing all sorts of stories of what happened. I'm super excited to meet new people. (This is actually my first year going)

I want to congratulate you on writing a story that is so impactful you've forced yet another profile-less lurker to create a profile to shower you with compliments! You've done something only a handful of professional authors have managed: you made me care for a character. When i got to the beginning of the 2nd story arc I sorta ignored the "it's dark" warning, you had put trigger warnings on some pretty light chapters so I had absolutely no clue how intense you were really making it! (but I'm happy I read it, because he happy ending was so much more fulfilling after that point) like most of the other comments, I do wish all forms of pain and misfortune on Opal! As an oldest sibling I also enjoyed the small touch of "big sibling syndrome" type jealousy that Kimmy feels when Melanie is getting special treatment that she asked for or when she's wearing clothes that Kimmy wouldn't want to be dressed in, but Melanie makes them look cute. Ive been devouring every story of yours i can find and I can't wait to read your next story. Please keep up the colorful and amazing style of writing you have!
