Donna hummed as she made the oatmeal, she turned to Isabelle and pushed a pacifier into her mouth before continuing. As the oatmeal was cooking she poured some milk into a baby bottle and put it in the microwave to warm

Donna followed and led Isabelle to the kitchen, she led her to the large highchair and helped her in before clipping the tray in place, she then tied a pink bib with the words 'diaper princess' round Isabelle's neck.

Donna dried her hair and brushed it, before fastening it up in 2 floppy pigtails, she lifted Isabelle to her feet and led her to the mirror.

"I'll sort your hair when it's dry, let's get you diapered first. I left your pacifier in the kitchen"

Donna held Isabelle's hand and led her to her bed where she had put the diaper and onesie. She dried Isabelle off and stripped her of the towel. "ok lie down Isabelle and we'll get you dressed"

Donna wiped a tear from her eyes as she cuddled with June "well I like you too June and I'm happy you are here!"

Donna smiled and poured water on Isabelle's head before helping her out of the bath and wrapping her in a towel

Donna started to wash her daughter all over before getting the razor and shaving her hair off, soon Isabelle was smooth like a baby. Donna let her sit in the water and play for a while

Donna led Isabelle to the bathroom and started to run the water, filling the bath with bubbles and water. When it was full she helped Isabelle into the bubbles and smiled

"I'm glad you like them, I went a bit crazy while buying them, the wardrobe is full of clothes. I didn't know how much you were bringing with you." Donna was gentle as she changed June into the clean clothes, using wipes to wash her before sliding the clothes onto her

"Do you like it? It will look better with the walls painted"

Donna smiled at the little girl "That's ok baby, mommy will help you use the potty like a big girl, ok? Come on let's get you into some dry clothes and then you can have your sandwich" Donna helped June to her feet and led her toward the bathroom

Donna looked at June and smiled

Donna happily made the sandwich for June before turning to set it on the table, she stopped and noticed the puddle "June, sweetie, have you had a little accident?"

Donna smiled as she carried her new daughter into the house and taking her to the kitchen.

Donna laughed and picked June up in her arms "It does look like a castle doesn't it, and you're the princess of the castle! I hope you'll be happy here June"

"Blue it is then, we'll have a look and see what else you want to put in your room, there's ready a brand new bed that looks like a princess castle and a fairy princess wardrobe to hang your clothes up" Donna pulled up outside a large but friendly looking house and switched the engine off. "Please don't unfasten your seatbelt, let mommy do that for you"

"Don't be sorry June. I was just asking, there's nothing to be sorry about. Now what colour do you want your bedroom?"

Donna quickly stripped the sheets off the bed and left them by the door, she turned to Isabelle and helped her take her clothes off, pretty soon Isabelle stood naked as the day she was born.

"It's got a big garden at the back for you to play in with your toys, a big tv room where we can snuggle up at night before bed, the dining room where we eat is next to that and then the kitchen is quite big so I can cook lots of things and we can bake together.

Donna smiled and took hold of the backpack

Donna smiled and held onto June's hand tightly, not too tight but just enough to let her know that she was there to look after her.

"Looks like you've been under a lot of stress, don't worry. You sit on the floor and I'll strip your bed, then I can get you into your diaper. Does that sound ok to you?"

Donna was excited, after waiting years to hear from the adoption agency and countless visits to the centre, she was finally going to be a mother. She'd been a few times to the centre and recently met June, a 3 year old girl who ticked all the right boxes for Donna, she'd put her application in as soon as she was able to after interviews and references she'd been accepted and today was the day she could pick June up.

"Sweetie if you're going to let me baby you, then you need to relax and let mommy sort everything out. I'll phone the school later, everything has come, more or less. Let's get a diaper on you baby"
