  1. I was unfortunate to experience a pilonidil sinus some years back. To the best of my knowledge it is ingrowing hair at the base of the back between the cheeks of your bottom. In my case it was extremely uncomfortable and when fluff from my clothing got into the opening caused by the ingrowing hair, an infection would flare up and by god that was extremely painful. The only way i was cured was by surgery, they dug deep to get all the ingrowing hair out and then you had the pain of having the wound (in my case the size of my fist) packed on a daily basis. After about 5 days of packing, they then used a bung which was change every day. It was vitally important that the wound was kept absolutely clean as infections would be very painful and would result in further surgery to clean it up. The only way that this type of surgical wound could be healed was from the inside healing outwards, hence the use of packing and the bung. I do hope you can avoid surgery as i have to say it is the most painful experience i have endured. Good luck
  2. I am also diabetic and am in nappies 24/7. Wasn't happy about it at first but because I could wet at anytime, it allows me to lead a normal life so am quite happy about them now.
  3. I went to see a neurologist today who has told me that he is 97% sure that my inco is due to diabetes, however to rule out the other 3% he is going to perform a lumber puncture plus a back scan. I know very little about both procedures and would be grateful if anyone can tell me about either, specially the lumber puncture, I have to admit to being a little worried about it. I know this operation does require large needles.
  4. I am a 53yr old male from the UK who wears nappies 24/7 due to medical reasons. Just a short note to say hi to all of you and I am sure I will be very happy here. Regards, Robert.
  5. Hi, I am new here, I have been a diabetic for 12yrs and about 2yrs ago I started suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which affected my feet, legs, arms and eyes. In January this year, for the first time in nearly 40years I wet the bed, this became a nightly occurrence very soon after and after medical consultation I was diagnosed inco because the neuropathy had damaged my nerve endings in the bladder. I now wear nappies 24/7 because I now wet myself during the day as well. Can anyone let me know if they also suffer inco because of diabetes and how are they coping. I would like to say that since my teens I have been a nappy lover and occasionly wore them when the need arised. Also much love to my good friend Huggie Many thanks for your help and info in advance. Rob.
