Oh that is sad. Kirsty didn't try enough to de-escalate. Now I'm frightened of Nick and what he will do.

Long time reader of your story. I made an account just to respond here. This is an amazing story I like the amount you spend to describe the inner thoughts of the characters and that your story seems kind of realistic. But Nicks inescapable situation sometimes made me sad. As this has never happened to me before while reading a Ds story, this really provoked my curiosity and I tried to figure out why. I wasn't able to find a satisfying answer but here are some ideas: a)Maybe your writing style makes it easy to put oneself into Nick's shoes and to relate to his feelings. b)Most longer Ds stories progress slowly ... like a frog in boiling water. But here we have a general idea how far it will go. Every time Nick agrees to something he doesn't like, I knew that this is not the end. c)Sara loses trust when she lies to Nick. Yes, Nick started being an asshole years ago, but why does Sara need to say something like this: "She[Kirsty] won't notice anyway, those things are... Discreet." "Nick, no one has to know outside of us two." (and tells it Kirsty shortly after) "and since we are shopping for your nappies, you need to come with me to pick which ones you want" I haven't found any other examples while rereading your story. And maybe it is just me because I really do not like lying ^^ Side node: When I reread your story it didn't make me sad again. I was already used to Nicks situation, so I sided much more with Sara's evil plot So far. Keep up your good work
