  1. When fantasy becomes reality, the fantasy no longer exists. You might need to find another way to get him really excited about diapers, and your intuition is probably right (as most womens is) - BE THE STRICT MUMMY!

    Am I Weird?

I understand how you feel, as I often feel the same way. Sometimes I don't feel like 'using' my diapers at all, and can wear the same one many times over, before it's garbage. When I was younger and diapers were hard to come by, I would NEVER use them at all! Diapers had an almost sacred status with me until I could afford to use them! In response to the topic tile "Am I Weird?", NO I don't think you're weird at all!, you have to remember that there is no such thing as 'normal' in society anyway. Some people may act 'normal' in public, but behind closed doors - they could be up to anything ~ and I hate to discover what that is! Remember - this is YOUR life, and YOUR perception of the world, YOU can decide what's normal and what's not. For its only YOU that can experience this world the way YOU do! ~ at least that's how I view the world !!
  3. Due to a massive decrease in income, and a hatred of cheap disposable diapers, I have had no choice but to sew my own cloth diapers. Over the two diapers I created, my skills have increased dramatically, but I'd like to get some tips from those who are more experienced. Please share your tips on cloth diaper sewing / creation here. Or links to web-pages that would be of assitance So far I have made the following: Diaper Mk1 - 1 old flannel sheet, 1 old towel - cut to pattern of disposable diaper & fastened via velcro strips Diaper Mk2 - 1 old flannel sheet, 1 old towel, 1 plastic shower curtain - all cut to pattern of disposable diaper & fastened via velcro strips - shower curtain layer present in diaper before the two outer sheet layers - provides good waterproofing (provided leg gathers elasticated) Diaper Mk3 - under consideration: - will consist of the above Mk2 materials - elastication areas will include, legs, back & front - waterproofed shower curtain layer, will be outer most layer (providing a cute pattern can be found!) - possibility of allowing for extra soaker pad insertion ?
  4. HIya NzppyNZ, If you want to talk with a fellow kiwi, flick me a message
  5. Hey, what does 'tub-thumpers' mean in this context? I've never heard this term, and a google search didn't make too much sense of the term either: "To argue for or promote something vigorously"
  6. The quote "when in rome ..." is very interesting in this context. I've heard that the roman men would often sleep with other men because women were considered second-class citizens. It was considered more culturally acceptable to sleep with a man, than with a 'dirty servant' woman!! BTW, I can't find this movie on TPB and would really like to see it, if anyone could share a link that would be awesome. Sometimes when I read posts like this, it seems like the USA is a different planet. In NZ, nobody really cares if your straight, bi, gay or whatever. I have a few gay friends (guys n gals) and it's just like having any other friend. Sexual preference has no bearing on the person whatsoever ~ still NZ had the worlds first transexual mayor and member of parliment : http://en.wikipedia..../Georgina_Beyer
  7. I often go clubbing with a nappie on under my jeans, nobody has ever noticed (even my girlfriend). Even if someone did notice, there would only be a reaction from 1-2 people. Said reaction would be muffled by the blasting music and only apparent to the people within the immediate area of the person who noticed. Basically when a bunch of people are drunk / stoned / high, they notice very little about the others around them - which is why some guys / girls wake up next to someone they'd rather not even make eye contact with normally!! I think what may cause more AB/DL's to be 'created', would have to be the "late-potty" training generation of parents, and the use of goodnites / drynites instead of good old sheet changing. It's a nice idea Sketchy, but it's a bit like saying 'anything but clothes parties' creates diaper lovers ~ highly unlikely.
  8. 19 million for 26 years ??? Nobody needs that much money, I'd build a passive eco house, keep 5M in the bank for income via interest, and give the rest away. It'd be nice to own a bugetti veron (excuse spelling) and a lambo, ferrari, aston-martin etc.., but I'd feel like a knob driving them, and these are not the kind of cars you treat as museum pieces ! There was a tv show on NZ tv recently that followed lotto winners, it was quite surprising how many of them wished they'd never won / hadn't won so much. Maybe it's just a kiwi thing, but I believe in such a thing as too much money. In New Zealand, if you have a house, car & maybe a boat you couldn't wish for more! Mine is not a country that requires money to find enjoyment in ! Remember, the love of money is the root of all evils!
  9. I'd say less than 1% If you're also into mainstream porn, you'll notice quite a few diaper models on mainstream sites. It'd be reasonable to think that girls who are happy to show their lady bits off, wouldn't mind a less vulgar shot in a diaper. We all know how rare diaper loving girls are, I think you already know the answer to your question.
  10. A quick member list search will tell you this : Female: 194 Male: 817 Not Telling: 40
  11. Nobody can hear the crinkle, I know because I've worn cheap crinkly diapers (DR P.) in public on many occasions. There is usually too much ambient noise for anyone to hear the crinkle. I've even worn double diapers (DR P.) when buying more at the shop that sells them, the new shop assistant asked me if the diapers were for an elderly relative! They had no idea I was wearing diapers, and were shocked when I said they were for me. I think worrying about diaper crinkle is like expecting the public to realise you have change in your pockets - it's just not noticable enough ~ unless you're wearing at the library!
  12. Totally agree, this is the best way to tell a potential partner. I did this and was lucky enough to be accepted, a few years on I'm only allowed to wear in bed occasionally, but at least I can be honest and not feel bad around her.
  13. I made my own cloth diaper last year, and it's brilliant! It contains six layers of soft material, with a double layered towel inside. Its secured via double velcro tabs & fits brilliantly! If I ever make another one, I'll include a waterproof layer, one layer deep (maybe use an old shower curtain?) - plastic pants aren't my thing at all. But yes, cloth does feel amazing, and the re-usability is extremely satisfying.
  14. Congrats! I've felt the same as you have in the past. I even went so far as to alter my name and location (just in case) - which is totally unnecessary btw. Hope you have fun here
  15. Every little bit helps! I really loved the idea and boldness of this sites ideal, and certainly hope it has survived. It was always poorly managed by 'Roman' the webmaster and whoever else, but the video / photoset 'scenes' were superb. I've recently come across (slightly illegally) some of this sites material that is new to me, which tells me they have either been in production since my last visit, OR more hopefully, are still in production.
  16. Not sure if this is posted in the correct forum, but anyway; Does anyone have a current membership, or have had a recent membership? I'm looking to find out if the site is still being updated, as the last update on the preview page was October 2005. I'd really like to know if they are still being updated, and have started using proper diapers - rather than plastic pants, pads, and the occasional pullup. I had a membership about five years ago, and they were still updating - but not with the content I was after (i.e. REAL disposable diapers) cheers,
  17. AND (I know shutup already), I'd like to add, I am a member of numerous other non-diaper related forums, and the prevelance of grammar nazis on other boards is ridiculously high (and extremely frustrating) Especially in programming / computer science help forums - the amount of 'newbies' who post ONCE and ONCE only is an all to common fact.
  18. I feel I should divulge my real reasons for posting so vehemently in this thread; I am what you may classify as a 'lurker', I seldom post stories about my diapered life (mainly because it's something I can rarely indulge in). It is for this reason I 'lurk' and enjoy reading the stories of others. I have this idea / belief that new users who are extremely eager to share their stories, and may mince their grammar posting the stories, may be silenced by grammar nazis. Wether or not this is true, I don't really know - I don't have the time to research it and draw a conclusion. I just feel the need to protect those (who I don't even know exist) from feeling afraid to bash out their stories and post them. My sincere apologies to anyone whom I may have offended, my objective is and will always be the open communication of all members - regardless of grammatical prowess ! BTW - I edited this post because I noticed grammar errors of my own (I can type faster than I can think / read)
  19. Actually Leilin, I have been a member for about seven years! I don't disagree with your post at all. I feel exactly the same way, what annoys me is the slandering for poor grammar that occurs on an original post. Replies to an established thread with grammar so poor it makes your eyes bleed, and retracts from the meaning is annoying. My point is that when an original post that contains poor grammar occurs, it shouldn't be slandered for risk of the post dying.
  20. If you find something too hard to read, then why would you read it and complain? Why not just disregard it and move on? I don't think anyone intentionally makes their posts hard to read. Perhaps they are so excited to share a new idea or feeling, their minds simply work faster than their fingers can. My above post is simply to point out the fact that your mind should fill in the blanks and make illegible texts readable. All I'm trying to say is this - if you don't like / can't understand someones grammar, then that's YOUR problem. You don't need to make the poster feel bad, or ruin a thread correcting them.
  21. Try a board search for 'grammar' & you will see quite a few posts ruined by the 'grammar nazis' ! I find it extremely annoying when somebody posts something that's not grammatically correct, and instead of sensible replies there are posts correcting the grammar! Why do so many posts have to be hijacked (and ruined) by those who lack the intellect to decipher / interpret what is being said? I think the following illustrates the fact we ALL have the ability to decipher seemingly illegible texts. Which reinforces my opinion that 'grammar nazis' only point out mistakes to either; (a.) make themselves feel / appear more intelligent, (b.) try to force others to conform to their ideals, or (c.) because they're assholes : 7H15 M3554G3 53RV35 7O PR0V3 H0W 0UR M1ND5 C4N D0 4M4Z1NG 7H1NG5! 1MPR3551V3 7H1NG5! 1N 7H3 B3G1NN1NG 17 WA5 H4RD BU7 N0W, 0N 7H15 LIN3 Y0UR M1ND 1S R34D1NG 17 4U70M471C4LLY W17H 0U7 3V3N 7H1NK1NG 4B0U7 17, B3 PROUD! 0NLY C3R741N P30PL3 C4N R3AD 7H15. 22. whats the big deal wif grammer or punchtoin cant peoples still no whats bein said ?! Seriously though, people need to have more empathy with others posts. Not all posters will speak or spell the same as you, some posters may even be foreign & posting via translation software. I have noticed a moderate amount of grammar naziism, and it does spoil some posts. The internet is a global community, if you don't like it's grammar, then bad luck for you.
  23. Which is a shame, baby-doll has some awesome content. Hope they get back to normal soon.
  24. The following was posted in the ABKingdom news three days ago : Baby-Doll , one of the sites pay the most popular ABDL community is beginning to seriously worry loyal subscribers. The website activity was fairly stable for several years, but many subscribers last year reported a slowdown in updates to the content, usually performed at least once a month until they complete halt to the end of summer 2011. The complaints began to multiply in the forum site, including the proportion of subscribers who had subscribed to a subscription.A moderator has finally said in November that a major update of the website was to take place, but had been delayed. It also ensured that everything was back to normal within a few days and updates are expected when overtaken. Not seeing still nothing coming in January 2012, many subscribers have called for a new point on the state official in vain. The same moderator who had intervened then stated that he had no contact with the site manager and his phone number was not assigned. Although it can still access the old site's content, many subscribers have apparently canceled their subscriptions over the past few months. Worse, new subscribers not informed of the situation reported to have registered and have paid without receiving the information they need to connect to the members area of the site. Today it is still radio silence from site manager of Baby Doll and it is hoped that nothing serious happened. If so, this could explain the current situation. Pending further clarification, even if it is possible that everything falls into place in the near future, it is recommended not to subscribe for now the site of Baby-Doll to avoid problems of access.
