If I had to mention one downside to these super comfortable and safe stents: there is absolutely no reason to pull them out. Don't you also find it tempting to simply remain permanently incontinent?

I have been following this thread with great interest ever since I joint Daily Diapers. I wear and use my stent 24/7 and to be honest I find it quite comfortable and does the job quite well. I can keep it in days if not weeks in a row and I only have to take it out to clean because minerals, salts, you name it start to build up and they will clog my stent in the end which causes discomfort. How is that with your design is that also the main reason if not the only reason to take it out? To me that is one of the major downsides on my design or maybe stent use in general, build-up of waste over time. For sure I am open to improvement on my stent. If your design doesn’t have the same problem as I have with mine I might go back to the drawing board it would prove to be a big step forward.

  2. For me option three. I am quite happy with my stent, I use it 24/7 and leaves me without any control. For sure it would be nice if I didn’t need a stent to lose urinary control but despite all other things I’ve tried my continence is as strong as ever. Although from time to time very tempting I would not cause harm to an otherwise healthy body to reach my goal and become incontinent. I would consider a memocath if I could find a urologist to install it and keep track of its proper function, I do not consider using a memocath causing bodily harm.

  3. Let me start off by saying I am no doctor not even close but I do think using stents can be done quite safely if you use your brain. I have been using catheters and stents since 2006. Started out with catheters, which only lasted a year and a half, wasn’t real enough so turned to stents and since 2014 went 24/7. So far I never had a UTI not while using catheters and not while using stents. I know I’ve been close to contracting UTI`s but always noticed the changes before it got out of control. This was in the beginning of my learning curve while still using catheters, once I switched to stents it happened again. I’ll be honest, I do belief it is always better to not stick anything inside your body that doesn’t belong there but speaking for myself, the other option is definitely not better. I do realize that stent use may and can cause build-up scar tissue in your bladder and urethra but I think that is a risk I have to take. So far if I take my stent out for cleaning purposes things turn to normal within a reasonable timespan as long as this is the case I do not worry too much about it. I feel over time my body learned to accept the presence of my stent, for any inconvenience which was present in de beginning faded into the background, only to reappear at rare occasions which usually means the stent has to be cleaned. So to me it is quite simple, wearing my stent goes without any pain or any other form of discomfort if that changes something is out of the ordinary and one should act.

I find it somewhat hard to determine how thing came to be as I comes to my incontinence desire. As far as I can remember I always wanted to be back in diapers, and I wanted to use them for their intended purpose but only for number one. I was back in diapers by the age of three years old but I  can’t say I had thoughts of becoming incontinent as a child the concept of incontinence was something I was unfamiliar with. I was well in my thirties when I discovered I wasn’t the only one with this rather strange desire to wear and use diapers. All that time the feeling of wearing and using was out of balance so to say. I went to bed woke up dry just didn’t feel right, still doesn’t. Needless to say I did use my diapers but had to use them with intent to do so. In 2006 I ordered some plastic pants and such in Germany but something went wrong in the order I placed, they shipped a box of catheters along with my order. From that point on things changed rapidly. Needless to say by that time I was familiar with the term incontinence and what is was, that sounded very appealing to me. This said I didn’t know how to induce incontinence without causing massive harm to an otherwise healthy body. Catheter play changed all that in an instance from that point on I found what I missed all these years. Soon thereafter I learned how to make stents which made the experience so much better as you can feel yourself pee without having any control over it and the rest is history. Nowadays I use my stent almost 24/7 only take it out to clean. I wouldn’t consider to take it any steps further than this as I am very content with the solution as is. So to get back on topic, in a way it has always been there, but once I found a method to achieve incontinence without causing bodily harm it took some sort of control over me most likely to never leave again and I am fine with that.

I am very good at kicking in open doors so here we go.....

The pros and cons of stents to induce incontinence:

    Cons

    1. It takes some courage, time and perseverance to develop your own stent with the perfect fit, optimal comfort, safety and drainage.

    Pros

    1. instant continuous incontinence within seconds (dribble when standing and walking, urge when in bed or when seated)
    2. Cheap to make it yourself ( a few bucks per stent and reusable many times)
    3. Reversible if you wish (believe me, it is very likely you will appreciate it every now and then)
    4. Enables you to determine whether or not you want it to be permanent.

In my opinion it is the best incontinence you can ever experience. Everything feels normal down there, you can still use your sphincter, but it doesn't keep you from wetting yourself and you can feel it flowing through your pee pipe just like it does when you are peeing with control.

    Prove me wrong! 😎

Needless to say I absolutely agree.

Yes absolutely, especially when I was still trying to find my way in my desires. But since I went 24/7 in 2006 it is no longer the case, I embraced the fact that I prefer diapers over regular underwear. My acceptance made things a whole lot easier no more binge and purge cycles and feel in contact with who I am.

  7.

This is what it will look like if I were to use the incontinence machine:

    1.  - Severe / total urinary incontinence

    2.  -  Squirts and small bladder releases

    3.  - Vague awareness of peeing.

    4.  - Heavy wetting with infrequent pee dreams.

    5.  - Permanent

    6. - No bowel incontinence as I prefer cloth diapers and plastic pants

    7. – No I use my diaper solely for number one still have to poop.

  8. To be honest if I were to have it my way I wouldn’t wear anything else but cloth diapers and plastic pants. I really, really like the authentic look and the way they feel. It is just that changing cloth diapers while being at work or out and about is so much harder to do. Disposable diapers are much more convenient under those circumstances. So I switch back and forth between cloth and disposables. This said, as soon as I have the chance to change into cloth I most certainly will. I do not mind washing them it is part of the routine and I only use my diapers for number 1

  9. As far as I can remember I always wanted to be back in diapers, but like one of the other posters already said I also don't remember having thoughts about becoming incontinent as a child. To be honest I didn’t know what it was to begin with, however I do remember I wanted to wear and use them for their intended purpose only for number one that is.

I was well in my thirties when I discovered I wasn’t the only one with this rather strange desire to wear and use diapers. Soon thereafter things started to make more sense especially now that I knew I wasn’t some sort of weird freak, there were others like me, Internet helped a lot in my search for answers. Still today, the desire to have no control is phenomenal, I feel my body messed-up becoming potty trained and I feel it is not how it is supposed to be. Being an adult these are rather conflicting thoughts. As a child I was unable to reflect on my feelings although they were most definitely there. When I got older I learned after a lot of struggles and self-searching is was part of my being. Later on I embraced the other part of me and that made life a whole lot easier to deal with. For sure I know it is not what others expect from an adult but it is my life. Wearing diapers and using them for their intended purpose is better than loading yourself up with anti-depression pills. Just my thoughts.

    Thoughts?

Well that is a lot of money to spend on diapers. Makes me all the more happy I prefer cloth diapers and plastic pants, and if I go out I’ll use a medical type diaper like Attends, Tena or Abena.
