  1. I made reference to this event in a few posts, so I decided to just post it. Here is the LINK. This Munch occurs on the first Wednesdays of every month in the city of St Louis. It is fun, and I have met a number of great people this way. STL3 is the organization that has the facility and allows this event to occur there. STL3 is a non-profit organization. Any donations go toward the operating expenses of the facility.

    Description

Usually, the littles much has been very friendly, talkative, and fun. Sometimes we get a little loud. Sometimes we stop, go around and do introductions. We want you to have fun and meet friends. People have praised the event for being very laid back and not a meat market.

If you don't know anyone or need an introductions to some folks, just ask the hosts (we will probably be the ones hollering hello at you when you enter) Paul  or Brandy. If someone is not taking your hints or making you uncomfortable, please find us and let us know about the situation.

No bdsm implements/equipment. Please be considerate to those that have sensory issues including scent sensitivity. No photography without consent. If you have cannot resolve a problem or issue, please see the hosts.

You can bring coloring, games, and other fun activities, snacks and drinks (either for yourself or to share). There is a vending machine (cash only) on site. There is also a fridge That dispenses and ice. Please bring a cup or water bottle.

We are here with the support of the Gateway Alternative Lifestyle Center (GALC). In this space we can be ourselves without worrying about other patrons. However, we do ask that you please donate a few dollars if you're able to to the GALC to help pay rent, AC/heat, and lights.

We are supportive of ageplayers, Bigs, Littles, Middles, Daddy/Mommy/Boy/Girl and Ageplayers without dynamics and other ageplay folks. We also welcome people who are interested or curious about ageplay.

Please note, the GALC door is sometimes difficult to find. You'll want to look for the address, in the middle of the block, across the street from a dumpster. The double metal door is the one that you're looking for at the far end of the parking lot. There should be a couple trees and really bright lights by it.

  2. The STL3 group hosts a Munch at their facility on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Look on Fet Life for details about the event. We generally have anywhere from 15 - 30 people at the event. It is free, although donations are encouraged. It goes from 6-9 and we color, play games, or just talk. I am one of the older people there, but you can find plenty of people in your age group. We also do the occasional Saturday play day at the location. We are laid back and accepting.

  3. Yes, there is. We have an active group in St Louis that meets monthly at a property run by the St Louis kink community organization, STL3. I also know of at least a few ABDLs in the Normal and Peoria area.

Don't forget to check out CAPCON in Chicago. Last year over 1500 were registered attendees. Registration started yesterday, and is currently "sold out", but there will be more tickets released in the coming months. The event is at the end of February.

Set up a Fet Life account to see who is nearby and into diapers.

  4. Bar PM in St Louis has some Gear Nights and the occasional AB/DL event. They do advertise some of this on Facebook. I went to an AB event this past winter that was fun, but a bit cold for diaper wear. Street clothes to the door, other clothing inside.

  5. I wear them 24/7 but have not committed to pooping in the diapers. I have an ABDL housemate who is also 24/7, but he is both bowel and bladder incontinent and has had to deal with this for years. Summertime is a tough time. The heat can make the rashes more of a challenge. I work indoors and mostly from home.

I hope this works out for you. If someone spots your diaper, I always feel you owe them no explanation. If they can't handle your need, then they have the issue. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

  6. I am 61, and I got active in the St Louis kink community last year. I totally understand the anxiety of the first Munch. My first STL3 Munch I lasted 30 minutes. Lots of people into Lots of different kinks was overwhelming. But I stuck it out. There were other ABDLs and Littles and I have made so many friends of all ages. I also explored other kinks I would never have thought would be appealing. I was surprised by what I really liked. I hope you get the nerve to go for it. I did and I am so much better for it.

  7. I wear 24/7. My doctors know. A few know that I wear them because I want to. That is because I didn't want my primary physician or my urologist to think I had a medical condition that needed treatment. I have not explained this to other doctors, because they have no need to know, nor would they think this is something they would treat. My doctors have been professional, and understanding.

I did have a funny experience at the urologist when I had prostate biopsies taken. After the procedure the nurse offered me a dinky little pull-on Depends. I told her I didn't need it, and she responded with an "Oh yes you do!".

I pulled out my ABU PeekABU and said, "No, I really don't."  😁

The urologist laughed and the nurse was a little surprised.  BTW, the biopsies were negative.

  8. Yes, many years ago I went into therapy thinking the ABDL aspect of my life needed to be cured. I also attended something called YOU Seminar led by none other than Dr. Phil McGraw and his father Joe. This was 1988 before Phil ever made it to the big time. Phil suggested it was time to grow up. My regular therapist had a slightly more useful view.

She suggested that I needed to understand the difference between dysfunctional and abnormal. Abnormal is doing something that is outside of the norm, i.e. something most people don't do. Dysfunctional is doing something that is not working for me, but I continue to do. We soon realized that ABDL was abnormal in the sense described above, but not dysfunctional. I had plenty of behaviors that were dysfunctional, and we started tackling those. I learned that I didn't need to trash my finances to obtain love from my folks. I learned that I could manage my social life by being a little more confident in who I was.

I learned a lot of things about what wasn't working. But ABDL was just a oddity that most people were not into. But then again, most people have their own harmless abnormal behaviors. Today, I am active in the local St Louis kink community. We have a club house and we have play days.  The club has all sorts of kinks going on such as impact play, fire play, electrical, chemical, and also littles and ABDLs.  We don't judge (e.g. "Don't yuck someone else's yum.") and we experiment with other kinks on occasion. I discovered that I like being spanked. I would never have tried it except for this community.

Any way, I don't know about treatment of ABDL, but I do recommend therapy for anyone who is struggling with things that are not working in their life.

  9. I learned from people I met at our local kink club that there is a whole world of "Chemical Play" out there. Some people are into figging which might involve a piece of ginger root inserted up the rectum. I believe it is intended to burn. Not my cup of tea, but don't yuck someone else's yumm.

  10. My 90 year old mom knows, and so do all of my sisters. I haven't hid it from them but I'm old and don't care. They know I wear diapers, and when I visit, I make sure they don't see them and I deal with the trash.

My mom found out because she was prying and asked me something about how I spent my time one weekend. My wife had died about a month earlier and my sisters and mom were calling me daily to see how I was doing. After a month, it was getting annoying, although I know it was well meant. So mom asked what I had done the night before.

It was a zoom night for DiaperActive, so I asked mom if she really wanted to know. She said she did, so I told her I was on a zoom call with a bunch friends for an event and I won the door prize. She asked what kind of call and what did I win. So I again asked her again if she really wanted to know. She did, so I told her that it was with a bunch of other diaper-butts for DiaperActive (it was remote during COVID) and the door prize, which was a case of Tykables adult diapers. I then had to explain that I wear diapers 24/7. She wrote it off as grief, but honestly, I had been full time for years.

Anyway, we've had a lot of discussions since. I had to explain it wasn't her fault. I do it because I enjoy it and it helps me relax. It hurts no one, and lately, I've been having prostate problems, so it has come in handy.

BTW, I have helped my sister find an appropriate padding for her personal incontinence.

  11. My family knows, but I rarely discuss it with most of them. My middle sister was having some UTI issues that resulted in some level of incontinence. We were going to be traveling together and she had driven from Oklahoma to Missouri with her grandkids and our mother. She had wet herself and wanted to get changed. I offered her some products that I had in my car. She passed on the Crinkles and ABUs, but instead opted for the Depends Male Briefs. Her grandkids never knew and we liked it that way.

I had a serious discussion with her about how to select a product for her use long term. I suggested she call a company, like NorthShore, and ask for a consultant to walk her through some options and send her some samples. She did and she found a product that worked for her.

She knows I do not "need" diapers, but that I am always wearing them. When I visit her in Oklahoma she knows I take out a bag of "trash" discretely every morning.

She will sometimes kid me about the diapers, but generally, we don't talk about it unless she has a question.

Outside of family, I have a number of kink aware friends who I play with and they know about my diapers. Some are into them, and some are into other kinks, but we feel free to discuss our kinks amongst ourselves.

The school nurse is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

My sister works as a school nurse at an elementary school. That said, I doubt if she has had any "diapered" students. I don't doubt that there is the occasional accident, but her typical day includes monitoring the blood sugar of a diabetic child and ensuring the child gets insulin when needed. Other than that, she dispenses a lot of ice chips since those are the magical cure for the ills that the balance of the kids come to her for.  During COVID she provided a lot of masks.

She loves working in this setting. She has K-5 students. Her previous employer was at the California Department of Corrections at a women's high security prison. She doesn't worry about shivs now. ?

  13. I'm no expert on healthy bowels, but I have been dieting for my weight and the diet I am on seems to help in this regard. I drink a healthy amount of water (take your weight in lbs, divide this number by 2, and drink this number of fluid ounces of water) and I eat a reasonable portion of protein (dinner is a 4 oz portion) at least 3 vegetable portions (not a potato or rice), and fruit portions. This is higher in fiber and has less protein than my previous habit. I am losing weight, and I do have healthy bowels.

I thought the quantity water was a bit excessive, but for an entire day, it seems to be a good goal and sometimes I get pretty close.
