Congrats on the achievement, sounds like it's a good working model. Would you guys mind posting photos of the current iterations you guys are using? I'm just curious to see how it looks.

That is very interesting, @bookem ...Have you tried it out yet?
I attempted to try it, but I had a hard time getting it in; the beads I used were too big to get past the meatus. But then I saw your latest design, @UsuallyDiapered, and that looks very promising. I am going to have to rethink the size of the beads I was using. I am currently working with some irrigation tubing that is large enough to insert into the 4/6mm silicone tubing snugly. It's 6.5mm od, so it does create a little bulges. Enough? I don't know, I'll have to give it a try. So far it seems like it is very close to your most recent posted prototype. Between you and @Spargano, I think you two are on to something here! 😁

I was wondering about forcing the beads inside the tubing - it would still create a bulge in the stent, but there wouldn't be any need for glue.
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing; I decided to try it out with some 9.5mm plastic beads that I had around and found a way that I could press them into the 5mm ID/7mm OD tube. I haven't tried inserting it, more of a proof of concept, but it looks like it might work! I will keep toying with this and report back if something interesting comes up.

Given the stiffness of that material, try warming it with the heat gun slightly and then use the chopstick. I prefer the chopstick for that type as it’s less likely to tear
That was totally it. I ordered some 4mm ID/6mm OD silicone tubing and got it all together as instructed and the fold over, or tucking in, of the tube went so much better. This material is much more pliable and so much easier to work with. As of today, I have finally made and inserted my first stent and so far, is very comfortable. Removal will be interesting, but it seems pretty straight forward. So freaking cool!
So yeah, thank you again @Spargano for this! Very excited to see how this all turns out.

What material are you using? For the fold over there are a few tricks. One is to make sure there is enough material for the fold, preferably around and inch to make it half an inch folded over. Judging by the photo you do not have enough material for the fold. That bulby part on the top? You would push that further in with your device (knitting needle, chopstick or medical forceps) until it smooths out. Another trick is using the forceps to stretch the opening when you’re near done to even everything out. Another tip is to make sure your cut is even.
hope that helps 😁
I am using some "Clear Vinyl Tubing" 🤷♂️
And yeah, I totally get that there isn't enough material for the fold and tuck - this is just a proof of concept to see if I can even do the mechanics of getting it together. Once I know how it's supposed to go, I will go in and use accurate measurements and be sure to allow room for the fold.
I will give it another go and see how I do... I was using a punch from my toolbox, but I will try the chopstick next go around.
Maybe I need to try different material?

Thank you so much for putting this all together @Spargano! I have been tempted to attempt this so many times, but chicken out due to fear of the unknown. Well, today I decided I'd attempt a mockup to see how well I would do with the construction portion of it. I got the heat gun and the bends going well. I inserted a piece of small wire into the frame tube when heating and bending to keep it from collapsing on itself, kinking the tube -- seemed to work well with no issues with the frame tube collapsing. I then got the frame tube into the outer tube fine and stared heating to get those bends done and all went well.
The part that I am really struggling with is getting the ends folded in on itself and tucked in. I cannot for the life of me get that to go well. I've tried multiple items to be the pusher, I've tried stretching out the ends to get them to be more pliable, but I cannot get it to slide in while being smooth and open enough for clear passage of fliuds.
Any advice?! I'm diving myself crazy trying to figure this out!
Thanks again, and I am seriously looking forward to giving this a try!

But why do I have to add a huge inconvenience when I'm changing my clothes. Everybody is getting naked and just trying to get on with their day.
But the embarrassed feeling is right? I shouldn't change my clothes at the locker.
I am back to not wanting to go to the gym anymore.
@Reddy I am sorry that you are struggling with the new reality and the sometime embarrassing situations that come with being incontinent. I am not incontinent, so I can't know what you're going through, but what I don't understand is why you are embarrassed by needing to wear diapers? People at the gym, or anywhere else for that matter, don't know why you wear and quite frankly, it's none of their damn business. If people ask, then tell them what you want. You have an actual need for diapers now and there's nothing to be embarrassed by. I really hope you don't pull back from doing what you like just because you feel like people would make fun of you or are embarrassed by it. Quite honestly, people are too self-involved to really care about what others are doing, or more relevant, what underwear someone wears. And besides, this is what you wanted after all, so enjoy it and all the ups and downs that go with it.
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" - this kinda relates. The takeaway, who cares what others think!? You do you and enjoy it - there are a lot of people that would gladly trade places with you. I assume you have your good health, you have what seems to be a decent job, a roof over your head, plenty of diapers, food... you're in a good spot and you don't owe anyone that questions you wearing a diaper any explanation.

Hopefully you both are feeling alright and recovering nicely, just dripping away without any choice in the matter...

Good to hear all the final preparations are nearly done. Is it possible to get some pain meds from the farmicia as well? I know a lot of people here in Southern CA go down to Tijuana to get medications without a prescription. Earlier you mentioned you hope you get some this time around, since you didn’t last time.
Thanks for the updates! It’s so neat to be able to live vicariously through your experience.

@Reddy & @BrownBobby Best of luck to you both, you have a whole lot of people hoping for the best and that the outcome is everything you want it to be! Tomorrow is the day, less than 24 hours now?
(Fixed the wrong person being tagged. Change BobbyBrown to BrownBobby 😅)

@Reddy, I know somewhere in this thread you mentioned that you enjoy wearing diapers only if you're dependent on wearing. I'm curious, have you gone long(er) time frames wearing? For example, have you gone several weeks or months at a time as 24/7 to see how you get on as if you were dependent on diapers? I know the enjoyment isn't there for you as you could easily just not wear whenever you wanted, but I'm wondering if the excitement fades and becomes a burden rather than something you enjoy after some time passes?
Anyway, I am incredibly intrigued by your journey and I really look forward to reading about how you and your lifestyle will change after your procedure. I really hope that you keep up with the sharing details of your trials and tribulations, all the ups and downs that go along with being urinary incontinent. Are you on other platforms discussing this? Maybe a social media platform?
Thanks for sharing everything you've shared to this point.
Best of luck on your trip, and I hope you achieve everything you've asked for... and more! Cheers!

I see you have lots of usless time on your hands huh....well good luck.
Maybe a weight lifting progress journal or a lower your cholesterol blog would be more helpful for people....but each his own.
gotdiapers: Wow, that's quite the supportive attitude to have! Damn, didn't your mom/dad/authoritative figure ever tell you that "... if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all..?" Whats your passion? Collecting stamps, building miniature railroads, working out in the gym? Whatever it is, someone could see it as a waste of time, but its something you enjoy, so why not? But hey, to each his own...
To the OP: Good luck! I hope you find it's everything you want it to be and more! I commend you on your courage to embark on such a journey.

Ahhh, I understand now
I guess you can tell I've not done that
My only cath experience was after abdominal surgery and that felt like it was a red-hot welding rod
From what I've learned here that pain might have been 'operator error' on the urologists part, but I'm still spooked from that experience
I still like to learn things though; thanks for explaining
Bettypooh
Yeah, no worries. And to be completely honest, I've never had a cath of any sort. I was more curious then anything. =)

Great stuff! Thanks again for all the input.
I'm pretty sure I want to go with VMWare for a few reasons. 1) track record: its the big guy in the room and has been round for quite a while with great success. Not saying Hyper-v isn't as good, it just hasn't been implemented as much as VMWare, and there has to be a good reason for that. 2) support: Since its so commonly used, it will be easier to find support should I ever need it. And 3) Scalability. Chances are my environment and system demands may change here pretty soon and I'll need to be ready for it.
The two server config is a really good thought. I'll look into it and see if i can squeeze it into my budget.

I think the big draw for him is the lack of external evidence of the catheter. It might also have to do with the sensation sense a cath pretty much insulates all parts of the urethra from urine.
Yeah, you nailed it BoToX. For me it was the fact that the cath is all internal, and nothing but two little strings that come out. I wonder if with this method there is lesser risk of UTI since there is some closure. Less chance for stuff to flow back in I guess is what Im thinking. I could be completely wrong.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I will most definitely have a ton of ram available. The hardware I'm looking into is a pretty stout Dell R710 server, loaded up with dual processors, and 32 gigs of ram, with a PowerVault MD3220i for storage of the VM's, Database, etc...
That should be more then sufficient to run the 3 or 4 servers I want, right?
-
For me personally, I'd only want to try something like this for a long weekend or something, not for weeks. No thank you! I was just exploring the thought is all. Maybe it could be useful to someone here, so I thought I'd share.

I have these three aging servers that I would like to consolidate into one physical box. I don't really want to convert what I currently have into Virtual Machines's, since they were here before I was and I want to start from scratch so I know exactly what is going into them. I would like to get one powerful box, and break it out into 4 Windows Server 2008 VM's. One would be used for the Domain Controller, DNS, Application, File and Print server. The second would be used just as a web server using IIS - which I have to use as that is what is required by our application vendor. Third would be just the SQL server. And the fourth would be used as my XMPP, Fax, and email server.
The DC would obviously be part of the domain since its controlling it. I would keep the web server, and the xmpp/fax/email server outside of the domain, preferably separated from the domain with a firewall. Is it best practice to keep the SQL server outside or part of the domain?
Just to give you an idea of what I'm working with, it’s a business with 10 workstations, all in one building. Each is constantly using an application which queries the SQL database, all day, every day.
The planning stage is in its infancy at this point, but with has been stated, am I on the right track? What would you recommend for hardware for something like this? Any other advice, recommendations?
Below is the current setup and what I want to do.
Server 1
-------------
Processor: Intel P4 2.4GHz
Memory: 1GB
OS: Windows 2000 Server
Responsibilities:
- Domain Controller
- DNS
- Application Server
- SQL (SQL Server 2000)
- File Server
- Print Server
Server 2
--------------
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2GHz
Memory: 1GB
OS: Windows Server 2003
Responsibilities:
- Web server (IIS)
- Email Server for the online payment system
Note: This server is not part of the domain, but has a user to read the SQL database on "Server 1" for an online payment system.
Server 3
----------------
Processor: Intel Xeon 2.8GHz
Memory: 1GB
OS: Windows Server 2003
Responsibilities:
- XMPP Server
- Fax Server
- Secondary Email Server
Note: This server is not part of the domain
Thanks!

For me its simply a comfort, control and protection thing. Those three items come up with all my fetishes it seems.
-
Under my sink in the bathroom as well as in my closet on the shelf. I dont have a huge supply, so its not a lot to store.
-
Sexy? Humm, not so much. Its more of a comfort thing for me. I feel comfortable and confident when wearing.

I was looking around online tonight and came across this really interesting catheter, the Urovalve Surinate Bladder Management system. Its like a half catheter that goes into your bladder and stops right about where the pubic wall is. There is a check valve built into it, that uses a magnet to release the check valve to allow the flow of urine. I've read discussions in the past about people having the idea of using a stent or something like that in both the bladder and external sphincter to bypass the ability to clench. So here's my thought, what if there was a way to disable the check-valve and still allow the catheter to sit in there and allow the urine to flow constantly. I wanted to share this with the group and get some feed back on what you think.
Here is the website, with all the information on what it is and how it works. There is even a cool little video describing it.

So, what do you think? Could it be modified to give the temporary incontinence that so many desire? Id love to hear your feedback. Thanks.

Unseendl, well said.
I think you plan is well thought out, and if its something you feel that strongly about doing then do it. Why should you have to live in the "what if..." question of life? Go for it, no regrets and if you find its not something you wanted down the road, you can deal with it then.
Sorry, I don't have any insight on the original question of what tests are involved, since I've never encountered or read about it.
