  1. I to have some family that would never understand. So I understand how you feel. And I have to wear for protection sometimes but decided to go 24/7 about a year and a half ago. There are some great people on this site and a lot are very supportive. I hope to see you on the chat sometime.

  2. I have been 24/7 for over a year and a half and find myself going threw 4 or 5 diapers or pull ups a day. And usually one night time heavy diaper or two. But I am a girl and a clean freak. I do not like UTI'S and get at lest 5 a year so I change a lot. I wear Tranquility All Through the Night at bed time and a few different types during the day. Abena, Tena, BJ's store brand briefs. But you have to be comfortable. Some people can wet a couple times and be good but most times I cant. Unless I am out somewhere it is not easy to get changed. Good luck. S&W

  3. I too have been dealing with incontinence for a couple years. At first it was a little weird for me. But I have been 24/7 for over a year and love the comfort and confidence it gives me. I have always liked diapers so it is a part of me know and I dont think I will ever not wear them again. Some times I feel babyish but I like it. If you allow your self to have some fun with it you may just enjoy it. Some do some don't. But you are not alone. There are so many of us that have to wear. And we understand. Wish you the best of luck. :)

  4. Bettypooh,

You are right on the spot when it comes to emotions and the effect they have on us as far as incontinence. From wearing all the time I have gotten used to the fact that I am protected and I think this has helped me get through some times that I would have most likely had and accident. Don't get me wrong I still have accidents and more so lately but the protection emotionally not only physically really has a big in pack on my self. And self esteem. Thats for that post.

  5. I too have anxiety issues. Mine on the other hand require me to wear diapers or al least pull ups 24/7. I have been wearing 24/7 going on two years. Lately my anxiety has been really bad and I just saw my doctor last week about my anxiety and what we can do to control it. Her first question was about the diapers!!!!! So many phyc doctors are really concerned for some reason with the fact that adults wear diapers too. I told her about how my emotions have been all over the place given Veterans Day. (I am an Army Veteran) And how this time of the year is very difficult for me. And it just kept coming back to the diapers. I told her she was making me uncomfortable with it after she had been doing it for a while.... I have a hard time sticking up for my self in those kind of situations. Its like I freeze up or something. I have always loved diapers but it can get frustrating some times when I just dont want to have to deal with the accidents. Sorry just had to vent a little. Wishing everyone nothing but the best. I am always around if you want to message or chat. Hugs

  6. I have tried a few meds as I am a Veteran and the VA wanted to try and cure me of incontinence. I have accidents when I get bad anxiety and at night when I sleep. The meds did not work for me and the doctor at the time wanted to keep increasing the dosage. I told him I did not feel comfortable doing that and that I thought disposable products were the best coping system for me. I soon after that got a female doctor and she was wicked nice to me. She even told me she has some light incontinence her self and not to worry to much about my incontinence as it was due to anxiety and to work on it with my therapist. She said there are a lot of people with incontinence that never even tell there doctors. But she also promised to get me some name brand products that she did not follow threw with and started to kinda blow me off over the past few months. I have been wetting the bed every night and accidents at least once during the day. I have an appointment to see a new female doctor and I think that my anxiety is feeding into me having accidents. So hopefully she is nice to me and does not try to push meds on me. I like diapers most of the time and have been wearing 24/7 for a little over a year. Diapers are comforting to me and I like being comforted. I wish you all well with diapers or meds. Hugs

  7. I have been having a lot of accidents lately and am trying to get my doctor to give me a script for better diapers. The ones they give me are not good enough. And I cant always afford to buy really good ones. Feeling a little sad about it.

  8. I had surgery on my achilles tendon after tearing it doing an obstical

course. At the time I was wearing most days and every night. I was

not sure what to do. So I ended up wearing a pull up to surgery. I

figured they would cath me before surgery. After surgery I noticed

my pull up was still on and no catheter. While in recovery I told the

that I had a pull up on and needed to get changed. She said I was

going to be moving to a room and that the nurse's up on the unit would

change me into s diaper. When I got to the room I had ripped the

sides already and they said we will do that for you and removed

the old pull up and put on an Attends (blue) diaper. These are cheap

diapers but them are noisy and I like that about them. This was the

first time I had ever been changed by a stranger before. I could not

move out of the bed and was not allowed to even rest my foot down

so the nurses changed me 5 or 6 times a day. It was great!! They

did everything for me and used nice warm wipes. I felt very good

being changed every time I hit the button. And some of them would

just come over and check my diaper to see if I had wet it. If you can

bring your diapers more power to you but the hospital ones are nice

too. More so if you like a little crinkle on your bum bum. It was great

for me. I was in the hospital for three days.

  9. People are mostly good........When I first started wetting I was freeking

out. But then found out most people dont care enough about my buisness

to even notice. I have anxiety and my anxiety gives me incontinence.

So I have to wear at least pull up every day. I was so worried going to

my doctor but she was wicked cool about it. One of the nurses said she

was dealing with some of the same issues. We were just two girls talking

about how we wet the bed at night. So dont worry about it. It happens

and we deal with it. I go to a physical theripist that is helping me strenghen up

down there and I am always afraid that I am going to have an accident.

She says its just pee and poop!!! She cracks me up. Just make sure if you are

having accidents that you do get it checked out to be safe.

  10. Tranquility Over Night Pull Ups are great. I have fecal incontinence from anxiety and they work great for me. Abena are good too but I have found them to be more expensive. I use plastic pants for over night. Would love to talk more about this sometime. Hope to see you around!

  11. I have got diapers from Craigs list before too. I buy from BJ's from time to time!! It does get me going a little. I have been wearing for a long time and it still is tough buying at a store. I get them in the mail to from the VA because I am a Veteran. But they are cheep Attends that I only wear sometimes at night.

  12. I had surgery on my foot and was in the hospital for three days. I could not get out of bed. So the cna's put me in diapers. It was a little anxiety filled at first but then came to love it. They would come in and check me like every hour. It was really great. I have some incontinence any way but this was the first time a stranger has ever changed me. I was soaking thouse Attends diapers.

  13. I dont see how I could put back on a wet or messy diaper. I would think that would really just be asking for trouble. You would probably be at a way higher risk of getting a diaper rash or a uti. But I am sure some people do.
