  1. Rammstein is probably the simplist metal band out there for someone to get into. Their guitar work makes you want to jump around, simple but high energy. Lyrics aren't an issue cuz it's in german, besides, I had their hole first album translated, I liked the lyrics better when I didn't know what they meant. Lastly, their is something kinda fun about listening to a band thats not in english, like your experiencing something you shouldn't. That aspect of taboo makes it all the more interesting.

  2. ok, it's been a while since I posted in here and there had been a few things said that kinda suprised me. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH DIO!! at least he can sing and knows he's a short as hell, he doesn't bother hiding it, unlike DANZIG. Linkin Park is not metal but they're not that bad, especially if your into car audio. theMeteora album hammers harder than most bass cd's. Other than that your right, most nu-metal blows. Same thing with metalcore. with the following exceptions: All That Remains, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, and early killswitch engage (their last album was typical metalcore formulas around a worthless singer, complete garbage. And one last thing, I liked the new Iron Maiden but it's deffinitly not for everyone. Old school fans will probably hate it but if you listen to it as a new cd and not as a new Iron Maiden cd I think you will enjoy it more, know what I mean?

  3. It is

try this one on for size:

    I will devour you

    Take all the pain away

    I cannot stay my hand

From reaching out so that I can

    Empower you

    For all eternity

It seems to ease my mind

    To know that you've brought

    Meaning to my life

hope this ain't too crazy for ya

  4. i wasn't saying rap/metal was a good thing, I was mearly pointing out that you can put metal with anything and it will sell. The fact that korn has sold more records than Celtic frost and venom combined just proves it. Don't get me twisted it's not something I'm happy about, that's just the way it is. Also, I forgot to mention, if you want a really good site for metal news of all types go to Blabbermouth.net it's a great site

  5. Opera and metal::Blind guardian. Country and metal::Rebel meets Rebel. actually now that I think about it. Pop/metal::Nickelback(don't argue with me until you listen to their music with this in mind).Rap/metal::Korn.Christian music/metal::12 stones(read the lyrics if you don't belive me). techno/metal::Samuel. Punk/metal::(help me out here, I can't think of anything except Slayer's undisputed attitude album). I know I'm forgetting some but the point is............wait for it...........EVERTHING GOES WITH METAL!!!

  6. there are so many bands out there in metal it's insane. And the crazy part is I could adore a band A. Necare could adore band B. both bands could sound identical but I could hate band B and him band A. That's the beautiful thing about metal. It's not just the sound, it's what gives you that chill up your spine, what gets you jumping on furniture playing air guitar(arch enemy and trivium for me lately :P . So remember, don't shit on a band just because you don't like them, one mans trash(atreyu) is another mans treasure(childen of Bodom). and one more thing, Friends don't let friends play rap-metal :band:

  7. I'm never quite a baby. I am just whatever it is I am. I like diapers and some baby stuff, but not the whole baby persona. Therefore, I can just be whatever it is I am whenever I want.

Basically same here, but I think that's part of the mentality that probably led us both to become wiccans

  8. I'll let you debate whether it was intentional for humor or a typo, but I will ensure you that I am quite able to determine the difference between a possessive pronoun and a contraction.

[Morv gives you two hints: he has a degree in English and he has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor, which includes mocking people. Morv throws you a curve ball: he doesn't shy from mocking people for their short comings, even when he shares them. Morv tosses another fact: he knows how to use dictionary.com. Morv rambles senseless things: once he had a vision of a small Japenese girl singing the phrase, "We have sixteen cats, and one is Pookie-Bear." Morv's final clue: he has no abilties in mathemagics.]

My head hurts, can you repeat that after I have a few beers in me?

  9. no see, we're showing some brotherhood here, this is a good thing. Master of puppets fuckin rules, best albulm they ever did. Did you know that they've got rick rubin as producer for the albulm they're making now. lets hope it's not another :horse: like St. Anger

  10. You have to realize that, although labels can be irritating the serve a purpose. true death metal must be seperated from Metalcore (Growling/Screaming verses with clean vocals during chorus). Some music is just heavy metal (GodSmack) but must be seperated from Nu-metal (10 years). If not for these labels the fakes would mix themselves right in and trick the average cd buyer that they are legit. Were it not for people like us to tell others "Man thats just MallMetal don't even bother" Think how many shitty cd's others would have bought. Those poor people who never got to hear the true underground because they got cought in the sellout/poser scum that floats above it. Those labels are are weapons against shitty music and I say we stand up and save the world against Nu-metal!!!(sorry got into abit of a rant.) :boxing:

  11. I absolutely love roadrunner records. Although they may seem mainstream nowadays with slipknot and nickelback. They had machinehead, fear factory, and type O negative. I also like Century Media and Nuclear Blast. And As for Cradle of Filth I just hate the sound and have never been impressed with them whatsoever. But they do have the Coolest shirts.

  12. Thanks for the feedback! Nice to see some metalheads on this site! It doesn`t seem that any of you have a struggle with metal and this fetish, which must be nice as well. As I said earlier, for me, especially black metal, has a value besides the strictly musical side of it, and I find it really hard having this baby-side interfer all the time. But maybe I should go and see a psychologist about the matter, and learn to live with both sides, I don`t know...

Could not agree more on the subject of nu-"metal". The whole phenomenon reeks of commercial, nauseating teeny-bop crap, and has nothing to do with metal at all. Some of the worst examples must be Shitkin Park and System of a Downs-Syndrom, do you agree? Music I cherish the most(whether metal or other) are old WASP, Maiden,Slayer Akercocke, old Dark Throne, Craft(amazing swedish black metal), Shining,Opeth,My Dying Bride, Anathema, Sixteen Horsepower, Diamanda Galas,Autopsy, Abscess, Morbid Angel(preferably the David Vincent era), Betlehem. And yeah, there is also some magnificent soundtracks like Exorcist 2, Ravenous, Blade Runner, Twin Peaks, Bram Stokers Dracula. Any of you into horrorfilms?

I agree with the exception that not all nu-metal sux, some I can deal with, and My dying bride is doom metal not black/death metal other than that we're good. What about Napalm Death, Obituary, Mortician, Any band on earache records, Necrophobic, Barathrum, Edge of Sanity, DragonLord, etc. etc. etc.

  13. "When life gives you lemons............"

All you can do is make the best out of the things that life gives you. Now i can't speak on what it's like to be incontinent.... but, I can speak on what it's like to have horrible luck, and believe me I have the worst. But when all is said and done all you can do is accept your situation (because inexceptance is obviously not gonna change it!) and try and make the best out of it. That goes for anyone in damn-near any situation. I hope that helps, if not, sorry :angel_not:
