  1. Hey, Emily,

      :D

You get there by posting 750 or more posts to the forum. The levels are as follows, to the best of my knowledge:

      0-10-Newborn

      11-29--Infant

      30-99--Toddler

      100-249--Bedwetter

      250-499--Diaper Pro

      500-749--Diaper Star

      750+--Diaper Royalty

As to the proper title, "Benevolent Despot" will do.

  2. has anyone had any issues with bambino belissimos leaking after to good wettings through the front just below the tape landing pad.

Never used the Bellissimo, but I have used the Classico, and I've actually had excellent results with them. I found they hold much more, and leak

  3. 8 hours of sleep and I'm still so tired. It's going to be one of those days. Meh.

I don't know why it is, but I can be more alert and lucid after getting only four hours of sleep than I can after getting nine hours of sleep. I'm guessing you weren't very comfortable last night, were you? It might have been harder, then, to get a deep sleep.

  4. Question--I know using bleach on cloth diapers is not usually recommended, but would it be OK if it's a non-chlorine bleach? My diapers are beginning to look a bit...well,

Besides, it would do a lot to eliminate some of the lingering odors....

Here's an example of what I'm talking about--the "diaper cleaner" segment of this program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7hAyCZokJE. I wish there were an online list of places like that, that wash diapers for both adults and babies.

No, I don't mean anything like a nursery, though that would be nice. I mean like a cloth diaper service, a service that will either supply you with freshly laundered diapers once or twice a week, or at the very least wash ones that you provide.

  7. My new Rearz cloth diapers came yesterday, and I wore one of the two to bed last night. They handled several wettings with minimal leakage. A more detailed review will come once I wash them a few times.

  8. Well, after putting it off forever, I'll finally be getting two new twill diapers, courtesy of ebay.

  9. Pardon me if I seemed to just disappear, I'm just finding the site to be frustrating at times, and chose not to deal with it for a while. I'd be in the middle of a post, and site would inexplicably go down, for instance. It was just too maddening.

Worse--and I realize DD is working on this--if I click on "New Content" to check on updates to topic I've already posted to, I find myself waiting as the site hangs...and hangs...and hangs. It used to be so easy to look that stuff up. Now I'm lucky if the page will load sometime that day.

  10. Finally, I have a wheelchair with a decent incontinence cover. No longer do I have to worry about soaking the seat.

I got it through my local med-supply store. About time--I'd been requesting one for years.

  12. Just discovered that I had a previous account here back in '06. I've been her longer than I thought.

      Rachel Emily

Really? I wonder if there's a way to consolidate the two accounts, since the mods generally allow only one.

  13. Well, I broke down and got a bottle within two days after my previous post. So far, so good--I hide it in the same place as my pacifiers, and no one's found it. If they do, maybe I can tell them it's so I can drink water in bed without choking? (It's true, as I choke easily).

    1. Rachel Emily

      Rachel Emily

Well, I like to keep water handy, because I usually wake up with a dry throat from sleeping with my mouth open (at least when my pacifier drops out). I suppose I could use a more conventional flask like yours, but a baby bottle is a bit more fun. =

  14. I tried to get a baby bottle today, but just couldn't. I don't know why I'm still afraid, when several of my home health care aides know about my pacifiers. I pretty much hate myself right now.

    1. Rachel Emily

      Rachel Emily

No, they don't live with me--they're here only an hour a day. But since they do the dishes for me and various light housekeeping, they do open my cabinets and drawers quite a bit. Consequently, I don't have very many hiding places that they never look through.

I've occasionally entertained the idea of coming out to everyone as an AB, but I don't want history to repeat itself. I told my home-health agency about me in the nineties, which backfired. They were so creeped out they didn't want me as a client after that. Of course, I was also transitioning male to female at the time, which didn't help. The two together were a bit high on their "weird" scale.

It's not buying the bottle that worries me. It's how my CNAs (certified nursing assistants--my caregivers) would react if they saw it. I'd be obligated to hide it, since only one of them so far knows about my being an AB. *Maybe* two others know about the pacifiers, because I explained them away successfully as a stress reliever. A baby bottle is not so easy to find an alternate explanation for. I'd have to admit to being an AB to all of them.

  17. AAACK! A home-health aide who previously didn't know about my pacifiers caught me with one in my mouth this morning. X( Strangely, she didn't react at all. Maybe she knew more than I thought she did all this time.

    1. Rachel Emily

      Rachel Emily

Unlike the first person I spoke of, I don't think this person made the leap to my being an AB, or indeed knows such people exist. Should she ask, I'll probably fall back on my "therapeutic reasons" excuse.

  19. Starting to wonder, What is truly wrong with the world. Why must people be so... Idiotic?

Is there any specific act of idiocy to which you're referring?

No, but now that you mention it, that wouldn't be a bad idea. =)

  21. I was brave enough on Halloween to let my little side show, at least a little. I dressed up as a little girl--pigtails, hair bows, denim jumper, the whole bit--and carried a Cabbage Patch dolly with me. Didn't win the costume contest, though....

Oooh, it seems as though I would have had more fun at your party--I love all the play equipment! Did you bring your doll too?

I did worry that someone at the party might have been kink-aware enough to get that I'm an adult LG. Maybe it's better that I chickened out of bringing my pacifier.

At $6.50 apiece, I'll have to do it very slowly....

  23. Sometimes my LG side comes out at embarrassing times. Like at Walgreens today--a woman caught me playing with the My Little Pony figures. She didn't say anything, but I can only imagine what was going through her mind.

    1. Rachel Emily

      Rachel Emily

Yeah, that's probably it. Who wouldn't love Rainbow Dash? =)

  24. Glorious day today: summerlike weather, a trip to a diner, and a shopping excursion (you should see the skirt I bought!) Topped off, naturally with an evening at home sucking my pacifier. Who could ask for more?

    1. Rachel Emily

      Rachel Emily

A picture will be forthcoming,I assure you. If I send it to you personally rather than posting it generally, it won't be picked up in image searches, will it?

And thanks, by the way, for re-sending your friend request. My intention was never to disappear, only to take a sabbatical of a couple of days.

  25. Yesterday was horrible! I had a *serious* diaper leak at the library, and was barely able to cover the resulting wet spots. (Even with my coat *and* my purse). I think I'm going to have to start wearing cloth when I go out.

square duck: I'd use Bambino *diapers* exclusively if I could afford them, let alone the boosters. Cheap Attends are all I can get through Medicaid, though.
