Hi I'm Steve. Having been completely house trained by six or seven years old, except for a few accidents at night, I started to wet my bed a few months after my dad died. At first it was once in a while and then every night. I was fourteen at the time. So it was diapers at night for me until I "snapped out of it". The doctor could not find any thing wrong with me and pronounced my condition "neurological". I didn't snap out of things and it became worse with accidents during the day too. So I was heavily diapered at night (disposable diaper, extra absorbent pad, plastic pants and a vinyl under-sheet) and had to wear disposable diapers and plastic pants during the day. In fact I still do. From that time onwards I have lost control of my bladder completely and urinate unconsciously. I have also found that there are times when it is convenient to defecate in my diapers. I haven't lost control of my bowels as I have with my bladder, but there are times when it is convenient, to be free of a toilet, even if the clean up takes a bit longer.

For me it began with bed-wetting and then I started having "accidents" during the day. It wasn't long before I was wearing diapers 24/7. A damp diaper is much better than an "accident": miles better. I have a back pack which easily takes a couple of spare diapers, wipes, a towel and skin lotion and some plastic bags, if I have to find somewhere to ditch the soiled diaper
