  1. Hi all.

Has anyone tried a tens machine to simulate incontinence?

Basically a friend who is a girl obviously cant use stents because of basic anatomy.

Rather than risk a uti from an open catheter I though perhaps a tens machine might work?

Placing the pads ether side of the bladder area and turn on different settings to see if it forces her to pee with zero control?

I presume if it did work you could also use on a bloke too?

  2. How much do you pee for gods sake. I wet every night and even after a drinking season I dont have a problem. Ok normally I use a tena maxi but after a heavy night use an ultimate and so very very rare I wake up with a wet bed. I do have a mattress protector so if I do leak who cares just change the sheets.?

  3. If you wet the bed like I do and pull ups leak (never tried them) then why not just where adult maxi nappy instead?

Yeap i am soaked every night and my nappy is close to leaking but very rare I wake up to a wet bed ?

  4. Ok. Lets try again. Uploaded to a different place.

Hope fully will stay up a bit longer.

Vid of me inserting a stent to show how easy it is as a lot of people do seem worried about it.

I normally do not leave it in for more that 7 days before taking it out and cleaning before putting back in.

The longest I have left it in was on holiday which was 14 days. Bit scary going though airport security but lucky for me not stopped or patted down. Phew!!!

  5. I use stents. I found a design that worked for my and I love it. Being able to make myself incontinent is awesome. And even better is with a stent you can feel the wee come out depending on the situation. ir you have been sat a while and stand up. You ca feel wee coming out but can do nothing about it :)

Have a look at this link. lots more info. Ps A catheter with holes in is a good way to start ;)

  6. Dunno if anyone is interested as there seems to be a lot of concern about how hard it is to insert a stent so  I did a video today.

I normally leave in to about 7 days before removing cleaning and reinserting. One thing I have noticed after doing this for the last 6 months. I can hold no problem when the stent is out but not for long.

Dunno how long this will stay up for but here is the link before youtube knobbers take it down but here is the link

  7. Ok there is a lot of comments on here of the pain levels of a cath being put in and even taken out..

Seems like some people are saying it is REALLY painfull.

Fact I have been playing with caths for a while now and no it does not hurt. I little discomfort the first few time..... um slightly stingy but I gently carried on with putting it in.

Now here is the thing it took a long while for me to get to the stage of putting a cath in with a lot of research.

Everywhere said if it causes pain STOP not to cause injury.

In other word if you are getting major pain putting a cath in you are doing something wrong and I would stop untill your know what you are doing wrong so you do not cause yourselve damage.

  8. Ok.

    I seem to have success.

Boyhood's talk about silicon bending made me try something.

Its in. Im completely incontinent and dripping away. It is a cross between cathdiap and loveable-guys designs.

I took a silicon intermediate cath and basically over a very low cooker flame applied heat and bent. The first attempt i gave it to much and it melted so you need to only briefly hold in close to flame. Put it this way it was done be hand and did not burn myself so that quick.

I thought it would spring back but with careful bending and not doing it to much at a time so as not to kink the tubing after cooling under tap it held its shape.

I the used lovable guys idea with the white cap and fishing line.

Result is a very soft and still flexible stent that goes in a treat.

So far after a lie down, walking about and a trip to the supermarket there does not seem to be any movement.

I will post a pic of it later when I take it out and update about movement.

    :):):)

  9. First of all thanks to loveable guy. That is defiantly an option for a stent that I am going to consider :)

Question for everyone if I may.

Does anyone know a site that I can purchase a spanner catheter from?

I know they are not designed to make you incon but would like to give the largest a go to see if my uretha is short enough to work as a stent :)
